What you mean because the early system's might have problems? That is true that they might but not every system is going to be defective. But even if you do buy one in november and it is defective you can always get you money back.

i was thinking about waiting for the second wave of PS3...cuz i dont want any defects. But then again what if the first releases are gonna be unique. For example like the 1.5 PSPs. What if somehow someone found a way to mod the early PS3...and then the later versions are gonna be added with security.
So i guess im gonna try to get one at launch even if there is risks of defects cuz face is right i can always return/buy the extended warrenty or sell it on ebay as a last resort...
PS3...it only does everything(that Sony allows it to)

Yeah I know what you mean about the frst ps3's having a unique feature. Bt sometimes the newer version's would be better and improved. But it would be neet to have one of the first ps3's.

the wii will be in plentiful supply and sell faster than the ps3 (nintenbois will love to use that to be all "omg wii pwns ps3") because its cheap and its parts are so common and have high yeilds.
@tycobb
i will get one if i have the money and manage to. then ill return it months down the road for an unbugged one. if this look shakey around launch, ill back off till ps3 v2.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

Face i got a bad feeling about the PS3.I feel like there is more Sony not tellling us about why the release was pushed back.I live in the U.S. but 400,000 consoles is less than a needle in a Hay stack.

Yeah that is probably because something was screwed up with the system. But look on the bright side the delays mean the fixed the problem or made the system better so it wouldn?t screw up.

DamonDash's conspiracy theory may have some truth to it:
Kuataragi: Sony Hardware "In Decline"

Kutaragi: Sony Hardware 'In Decline'
By Scott M. Fulton, III, BetaNews
September 8, 2006, 11:58 AM
In an extraordinary public statement of regret and despair over having to postpone his company's PlayStation 3 debut in Europe and Australia until March, and to limit availability elsewhere to only 500,000 units come November, Sony Computer Entertainment President Ken Kutaragi is quoted by Reuters as having told reporters, "If you asked me if Sony's strength in hardware was in decline, right now I guess I would have to say that might be true."

Im sure everything will turn out good eventually. If sony want's to keep everything a secret they can. And if the ps3 is all that (which I think it will be) then it wont matter about the delay's and everything like that.

the problem is, the graphics by release will be like a year old gpu. plus, the gpu was made around the 360's time. they will look different (ps3 being better but i think with less pixel fill rate *not positive about the pixel thing tho*) so people will see the difference between the two is not the same as ps2-xbox. but that was twice the timeline either way. we'll see what the major public feels by next spring either way.
i wanna be that guy who says "hey i have a ps3, come over and play..for a price.. dont worry weed is included with every ticket."

I don't think there will be a noticable amount of grafical difference between the two.I think the 360 gpu would be about 2 1/2 years old by the time p23 finally comes out.

it's some good stuff. 2-3 hits and im out.
in think the ps3 will look better, and it will be noticeable overtime.
and i wonder how the 360 fans are thinking of their leader who said "dvd is perfect, no more will ever be needed." with resistance being so large. its the streamless, flawless, and the lack of loading levels. alot of games are doing this, like ut2007. its the next thing.

True, bluray slipped my mind for a minute there. It may look better due to bluray that's for sure. The uncompressed textures will look dramatic when they get it down pat(1 1/2 years although you will see improvements right off the bat).

sum1 told me that ps3 was bieng delayed. large shop owner such as argos,
GAME, and dixons r realy pssd. christmas is coming up and the buisnesses
will lose millions. sony done this with the ps2. at least xbox dont always make mistakes. i heard that IBM are making a super computer with the same chip as the ps3. i read it can do literally " 1 thousand trillion" calculations a second. now you know the true power of the ps3.

No I dont think that's it. Apperently it is because
Quote: "the delay in the mass production schedule of the blue laser diode within the Sony Group, thus affecting the timely procurement of key components to be utilised in PlayStation 3."
But I dont care cause my plans arent ruined the ps3 is still coming out november 17 from were I live.

Quote: Mr Kutaragi said production of Cell chips has been progressing smoothly, and the company now has more than 3 million of them in stock, dispelling speculation that Sony may be experiencing difficulty in volume production of the advanced microchips. "Cell production is going extremely well.
