You can download it from a torrent but it will not boot because you need a special burner/method to allow it to boot which is not avalible to the public, You can always buy it online for about $20.

the cogswap exploit exploit is doing my head in, I have 7,714KB free on my card but it is not installing the files that I need, any help please

Hi, I'm new to this PS2 Modding. I got Swap Magic 3.6 and my DVD disc doesn't work. It worked the first time and now it doesn't work. I emailed my supplier to see if I can get a replacement. Ihave a Slim PS2 and I was wondering if I could do the cogswap?
Any help would be appreciated.

i have just bought the 3.8 coder and it seems not to boot the dvd disc wot so ever but the cd discs loads perfectly iv cleaned the laser and it has no difference it still wont load is there any way i could put the dvd boot on to a cd as the place were i bought it from does not accept returns or refunds can any 1 plz help me

inside of your ps2 is a silver ribbon. it should be too the far right when u open it up. u must make the ribbon as straight as possible and make sure it has no folds. then boot it up and it should read fine
had the same problem at first but know it loads with no problem
reply if u need a pic of the ribbon.connects the power/eject buttons.

PLEASE GUYS A BATCH OF SWAP MAGIC 3.8 ARE REPORTED TO BE DEFECTIVE. THIS IS 100% CONFIRMED AND SHOULD BE REFUNDED BY YOUR DISTRIBUTOR. READ MY METHOD TO BOOT DVDS BY SM CD EDITION.

I have the same problem with my swap magic 3.6 dvd and have tried doing just as you said a few times and it does not work on my slim ps2, All i get is "Please insert disc with big toc" or whatever and when i insert gta dn close it gta keeps loading and it says invalid disc in the bottom of the swap magic menu. For the past few days i have been using my swap magic 3.6 cd version disc, then i load cdloader 7 all, then gta vice city and then i insert my DVD-R backup.
so did u get it to work, cuz i have slimlie and it wont work

I tried this, it just says 'Not a valid PS2 disc' when I insert the new disc. I tried this with FFX and it's about 4.2GB I think. I also tried with other games but they all said not a valid disc.
Hewie, or AMDZen, please send me a PM telling me how to use the cogswap.

I think my SM CD swap to DVD only works on
-FAT PS2s
-SLIDE CARD SWAP
Note: to refresh the TOC make sure GTA:VICE CITY or Devil May Cry is an ORIGINAL GAME MADE BY SONY
