i really appreciate all the help, but its a lost cause. i've tried everthing above & theres no way my pc will let me install the newest version. Don't know what the hells going on. the .exe file is there but when i click it nothin. at least my old version still does the job. sorry for being such a pain,

Out of curiosity, did you deleted or uninstalled your older version prior to "extract or install" the latest version? That's what I do every time I want to install a newer version, I had to delete/uninstall my older version first.
Anyways, try these steps/process and delete all "jsoto's tools" via "regedit" before unzip and install the latest version:
NOTE: I don't have any problem, extracting/installing new version at all. However, it won't hurt to try the following steps.
Now after deleting, you should be able to extract and install new VobBlanker on your system.
Presto...!! after extracted and installed VobBlanker, you should be able to use it easily.

ok im Real new to AnyDVD like i just got tha trial today cause all the other ways i tried to do Decent didnt work when i used the method above with "vob blanker and dvdfab" when i got to shrink it would do this

so your saying the new voblanker won't install because i have another version on my pc. I'm afraid if i delete my working version i won't be able install the new one. But if your sure thats my prob. i trust your expertise. i'll wait 'till i hear back b4 i actually do this. I'd be totally lost without my VobBlanker, tnx

well i decided to go for it, i deleted what you mentioned above. Whats weird is after deletion my old VOB is still working as if nothing happened. Also did a search on my pc for VobBlanker & i probably have at least 30 VobBlanker files. Should i just start deleting them one @ a time? tnx

wa hoo, success. Thankyou ever so much alkohol, that did the trick. as soo as i deleted jstos tools out of the registry & reloaded version 13 bingo it worked. I now have the latest VobBlanker version. Curious, why does VobBlanker make it so difficult to install a new version. Sure had me scratching my head!!! NEWAYS....THANKS AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR PATIENTS & HELP!!!!

thanks! latest versions of DVDFabdecrypter, AnyDVD, and a shot of VobBlanker version 1603 took care of it - movie, menus, extras.

nope nope nope none of this works.newest version of dvd fab does not work you cannot get it to rip to harddrive period.and most of us can't get and older version of AnyDVD so at this point it is definetily something new.if you don't have and old version of AnyDVD your screwed period..............

You're welcome and glad I could help. Yes, I recommend you uninstall or (delete all from registry) like the process I've shown above. That's what I did to mine whenever I want to install/extract a newer version. Some of the older versions doesn't install any files into registry, but I believe anything from 2.1.0.0 or above install itself into registry once you extracted/installed them.

Well, then you're gonna have to tell AnyDVD (SlySoft), perhaps email them so they can fix it on their next updates. Sorry I don't use AnyDVD, I know it stands for it's name.
All I ever used (still use on a daily basis) to rip DVDs are: (1) DVDFab Decrypter; (2) RipIt4Me only, plus the post processing method by either FixVTS or VobBlanker.

I did this movie yesterday.
Shrink + AnyDVD I got the burn error.
Then I tried AnyDVD + Nero Recode 2 and worked perfectly no problems at all.

No problems on my end w/ the latest AnyDVD & CloneDVD. Did full backup deleting a few special features.

Just to jump in and say I have had the same problems with Fearless and Police story lately. I have used DeCrypter, Fab Decrypter, Shrink, Shrink 5 , Fix VTS and the whole works, but nothing gets the whole disks. Even stranger problem. Shrink, even after cleaning it with Fix VTS, will show the movie as perfect, but when you try to burn it with Roxio, Roxio will say it is still protected. Nero will burn it, but it loses two or more chapters into bad pixelation. I'm going back into the forum and find all the new down loads and try to see who all is successful. Volblanker was always too hard to use, but I will revisit after reading the reviews. When you install volblanker, it will not open up. After clicking on the link, Just go to the tray at the bottom and highlight it in the tray and tell it to expand or restore. I also went to the source folder where I placed the expanded files and made a new link and put it on the desk top.
Sorry everyone is having troubles, but Decent, Fearless, and Police story seem to have something new in them. The rest of my stuff seems to work OK. Good Luck

I used Just shrink to do fearless and worked perfectly got whole disk

hello i had the same problem with VobBlanker until alkohol straightened me out. you must uninstall the old as mentioned above on this page, then the new installation will be a breeze. VobBlanker is very easy to use. Just put in your source file & make up an easy to find file for your destination. click file @ the top & hit execute & boom wait 10 min or so. run that file through shrink. You'll need VobBlanker for the newley protected dvds or a simular program.

I used Just shrink to do fearless and worked perfectly got whole disk[/quote]It will do a great job with shrink, but have you actually tried to burn the disk as yet? When you burn the disk, it will lose or pixelate chapter 9 and the last chapter. Roxio will not let me burn the disk. And I am having nightmares with Nero 7. I am going to have to un- install Nero 7 and find a way to get the up dates from the Nero site, my computer will not let Nero see the internet. Frankly, I have had really bad luck with Nero all around. Hardest mess I have ever had to deal with. Like some of the guys, I have gone to the point of just using RW disks for a while until some of this mess gets cleared up. Too many coasters. Let me know if you can still get a clean burn , would be interested.
