a friend of a cousin of mine said that he used 3.40 oe-a and it hangs... i don't know when and how, but for now I think I'm going to stick to 3.03 oe-c since I can play all my homebrew there.... Just playing it safe...

Hey,
I did recover back to 1.50, then I upgraded to 3.03 oe-c, But I still can't access the cnfiguration at the recovery menu:S. Also my UMD games still won't play..
All help greatly appreciated.
Grtz,

not nessacerialy but for most new game su do how ever the OE version come with a "No UMD" mode which allows some games to be played with out the need of a UMD!

I had similar issues, I used flash 1 formatter (search QJ) follow the easy instructions adn you will be all OK. Apparently 3.4.oe did something to flash 1. (read my post)

Actually, this is a Flash0 problem, F1 just has the non-important stuff in it while F0 has what basically IS the psp. The way I know of fixing that problem is to reflash 3.30/3.40 oe, if that doesnt work, not sure what else you can do :S.
Quote: im pretty sure they wont just cuz they would lose A LOT of money on ripped games
You know, if sony did allow linux/homebrew on the psp, it would get hacked to run anything, like it does now, and eventually would run an iso loader (like devhook and oe firmwares). that was smart in their case but either way, it got hacked.

yeah but new games are coded and constructed in such a way that the no umd mode cannot boot that game without faking it with an actual UMD.... understand?

IF you've updated to sony's 3.4 firmware, there is currently no way to downgrade and be able to use 3.40oe-a
