OK, I got an error code 32004. Maybe it is server overload. I will do it tonite instead. I tried twice and got the same error.

FYI, I am connected to the internet and can get weather and websites.

Update:

I started the update and it was going. My son unplugged my Wii


I went back and it says I have 3.0U. However I can still update it. I don't think it finished. How can I be sure it updated. I got the new clock, and I get that message about modified consoles. But when I try to go to the shop, it just hangs.

How can I be sure I got the complete update?

I did the same thing (wii turned off Mid-Update). I just updated it again from the start and everything works. I just bought DKC2 for the virtual console.

And for the record, after I turned off my console mid-update, I had the new clock and it said 3.0 on my menu as well.

That's good to know. I tried to update again this morning and got an error msg half way through.

Can anyone verify what the latest system update is?? I have already updated to 3.0U but this morning I get a message in my inbox saying that there is a new update available. Any news on this? Or are they referring to the 3.0U update?

I have a PAL Wii, with a wiikey and have d/l & patched Mario Striker(PAL - or so it says) and also ran the wiifree thing as well, when I load the disk I see it picks the disk up then gices a black screen - what am I doing??

This is mu first chance to get back here. I finally got the upgrade to work. I tested a few backups and worked. (having trouble with MP3 but so are other people without update).

@falcon, the only time I got that update available message was when my 3.0u update wasn't finished. I got it a few days in a row. Now that I have fully completed the update, I don't get the messages anymore.

Also as an FYI for those who didn't complete the update. I got the warning message about possibly breaking your wii after updating. I just said ok and updated. But this was for the 3.0U not anything newer.

Okay, I followed the tip to burn a GCOS dvd and put it in the Wii and swap it with the wiikey config disc.

I downloaded the GCOS boot disc, but it doesn't work. Anyone else having problems? I have a EuroWii.

Just get the hacked 1.2b setup disk. No swapping required.
