What size is it? And technically, Pandora only works with true Pro Duo cards, though others *may* work using an adapter...

my m2 card was Transcend. It seems pandora only works with Pro Duo so guys sorry but no m2 cards. the starter of this thread may edit the first post to add this info.

Anyway thanks for all the help. I really do appreciate it.

Hi guys,

I have a quick question. After following the methods in this thread, I have been able to flash 2 PSP slims. I am wondering if I can use my modded PSP slim battery and magic stick to flash a PSP fat.

Thanks

I put the magic memory stick and battery in. All 3 lights come on, and I press X.

The PSP turns off in 30 seconds. I take both out, but under system settings it still says I have 3.40 firmware. What am I doing wrong, does this only work with Slim? Because I have a fat.

Also, I bought a software modded battery. What's this I hear about hitting Triangle and converting it back to a normal battery?

what is your card? are u sure it is correctly set up? probably it's not the battery since the three lights become on. and i have a fat and everything worked fine so this should not be a problem. just the opposite, i heard some slims cannot be used with pandora.

If i am correct, i think the TA-085 v2 MOBO is pandora proof. I think there are some ways round it but they are long and awkward.

Correct me if i am wrong though?

PsP#1 : 2.01>3.71M33-4>3.80 M33-5
PsP#2 (Slim) : 3.80>3.90M33-2 All hail the UPMS Stck
If you need a UPMS Stick go here and then go here :-) *As recommended by January39

Yes, you can, the Pandora Battery works with any PSP, full stop.

What's the worst possible thing that can happen if you goof up the mod???

would you screw up the psp?? or just the battery??

another thing....which battery should i use as the pandora??? the original that came with the psp or the extra battery that i have to buy??

the extra battery has to be a Sony, right?

thx in advance

For the Pandora i would recommend Sony as most 3rd party batteries won't work for it - i used the original that came with my PSP. For normal use, any battery is pretty much fine. As for messing up, you would only ruin the battery, not the whole PSP.

Does anyone know if a pandora battery can be made from the 2200 mA battery that's sold in stores (you know, the fat one that once installed, you can't put the cover back on the PSP)

it is a sony battery and not a no-name aftermarket one.

thx

I have a psp slim, I have a friend with a fat psp with CFW, I was wondering if anyone has tried hellcats pandora's battery software using a fat psp with a slim psp battery in it, I think it would be better than having to cut the lead on the battery, what are your guys thoughts?

Format your memory stick with xp. Right click the drive, select format, when the window opens select FAT32

Yeah, it has been flashed. If you read through the thread, you will see how to play ISO's. After I flashed it I asked the same question and found I just had to put my ISOs into a directory named ISOs on the root of the memstick

thx ntloser,

i had already read your prior posts...my question is, do i create the iso folder in the root of the "magic stick" or on another stick? (i've got 2 mem stix...a 512k in which i have the magic files, and a 1G mem stick.)

then once the iso's are put on the stick, do i boot up the psp with the pandora battery or with the power adapter?

you and i have the psp slim with the daxter...so yur the guy that can really help me with my prob.

thx in advance.

1) Either memory stick, though i'd suggest you use the 1GB for now, and buy a 4GB to hold your games soon (A couple of ISOs are 1.5GB+ for just one game). Make sure the folder is named "ISO", not "iso".

2)Once you've got custom firmware, don't use your Pandora Battery, leave it alone - It's only ever used if you get a brick. If you don't have another battery then convert your Pandora back to normal, buy another battery, or install a custom boot IPL onto your Pandora MS. For now, yes, you should use your AC.

3) All PSPs are exactly the same in how they work, it doesn't make a difference as to what "pack" you have etc.

thx shokz,

i got some games to work. :)
the .cso files work but i can't get other type files to run.

i've got patapon.cso....it shows up in the game/memory stick menu and i can run it from there.
i've got colin mcrae....but it's a eboot.pbp BUT it doesn't show up in that same menu

how do i run those type files??

btw the battery i modded is a sony 2200mA (the one that doesn't let you put the cover back on the psp slim cuz it's too thick)

the inside of that battery is a little different from the original 1200mA...
the circuit board is configured differently but just find the S93C56 chip and remove the bottom right leg (the chip should be oriented so that the writing on it is upright)

Ahhh, sorry, havn't really been following along, unless you can reconnect the pin then the only options are to get another battery, or install a custom IPL. As for the file question, only .cso's and .iso's go into the ISO folder, EBOOT.PBPs are PSX games which go into their own separate folders in the GAME folder, eg: ms0:/PSP/GAME/ColinMcrae/EBOOT.PBP
