AnyDVD's new ripper &DVDFab Decrypter - question about layer break

does anyone know if AnyDVD's new built in ripper or DVDFab Decrypter (free version) removes the original layer break, or does it keep the original intact like DVD Decrypter did?

i would usually just use DVD Decrypter with AnyDVD running in the background, until i had a problem with a certain DVD (madagascar R1). so it looks like im going to have to look to an alternative.

i think madagascar has ripguard protection, AnyDVD should handle that easily. i just did "the ledgend of zoro" with dvddecrypter. read in iso and burn in iso. zorro has sony arcoss protection which is simalar to ripguard. make sure u have ur settings in decrypter set, go to settings the click the i/o tab and select elbycdio, 0 retries and ignore read errors. make sure u have the latest version of AnyDVD 5.9.4.1

AnyDVD's built in ripper handled it fine, however, using it with DVD Decrypter did not work. DVDShrink was unable to open the files, and in the DVD Decrypter log, it said it had problems reading certain files. Wierd thing is, the files opened fine in CloneDVD2.

also, i did set my DVD Decrypter settings to what Slysoft recommends and i am using the latest vesrion (5.9.4.1).

yeah i had that problem with version 5.9.1.1 , this new version worked great with the other apps like shrink and decrypter. clone2 i think it uses the original break. ive done several DL disk with clone2 and havent had any problems. i use DL verbs +r media and i burn at 2.4x . the only draw back with using clone2 is u cant booktype. i use my nec burner when using clone2 because it has a booktype utility. all of them have played good. if ur burner has a booktype utility u should be good using clone2. im pretty sure benq and plextor burners have this utility too.

i found out how to look for the layer break (using Pgcedit) and AnyDVD does not remove the layer break, while DVDFab does. so i guess ill be using AnyDVD to rip, and since i prefer to use ImgBurn to burn my DVD's, ill use ImgTools Classic to make an ISO so i can burn with ImgBurn.
