I was having problems with unplayable discs using AnyDVD and DVDclone2, and made a post griping about it. Then DVDclone2 went to version 2.8.9.2, and all my problems disappeared. I'm a happy camper again.

I do have a question. Will DVDclone2 handle dual layer discs automatically? In other words, if I have 9 Gig discs, will it detect that and burn a movie without compression? Also, what kind of luck have you had with the dual layer discs? The last time I bought one, they were $13.00 a piece. I saw some for about $1.75 each which seems reasonable, so I thought I'd give it a try. Both my drives will handle dual layer discs.

If burning DL discs, you shouldn't even need CloneDVD because there will be no compression necessary...anywhoo, I've not used CloneDVD so I don't know if it supports DVD-9's, but I would think it does.

The best for DL burns is probably DVD Decrypter or Imgburn, rip to HDD using DVD Decrypter in ISO read mode, then select the MDS file for burning with either DVD Decrypter or Imgburn. The MDS file contains the information on where to place the layer break.

I have used Clone a few times on dual layers to see how they come out, so far no problems. Just set it to dual layer and it will do it's usual thing. As far as dual layer media try and buy something of good quality, Verbatim are best, no Memorex.

And, as always, watch your burn speed....
