Hi,
if you need help with these two programs or anyone of these. Before you go crazy and try other software, see if you have the laest version, most of the time that is the best and only solution.

BurningAs
Good forum & solution to many Clone DVD2 & ANyDVD problems.
Also DO NOT use cracked code versions.
They can't be updated, against newer protections, & shouldn't be used.
These 2 softwares work GREAT together w/ excellent results.

I am having the most peculiar problem with AnyDVD.......
My good ole SONY DRU-510A drive went kaput last week so I upgraded to a SONY DRU-810A from Newegg.
The drive works great......EXCEPT for when you insert a DVD-VIDEO discs......and AnyDVD has been activated in any form.
If I attempt to insert an original DVD Movie with AnyDVD Auto-Started or Enabled in any way (including Disabled after its been Enabled).....My CPU Restarts.
I turned off all the options in AnyDVD...including SAFE MODE...and didn't even activate it for the DVD Drives.....same problem if AnyDVD has been active for any time.
I've removed all other burning software except for Nero. The firmware of the drive has been upgraded to its latest firmware (1.0d).
HELP!! Could Drivemakers have found a new security feature?
CPU:
DELL OPTIPLEX GX110
512MB RAM
1.2Ghz Pentium III
SONY DRU-810A
Lite-On DVD RAM

@goosedude
Try use DVD43
It can do the job fine, just dont use it at the same time as AnyDVD.

Well i have to say i agree with a twist...Cracked Versions doo work well they just dont update.. If u use a Cracked version and start liking a product and the results doo the best thing u can and buy a legal version its monet well spent...

A VERY GOOD GUIDE FOR CLONEDVD AND ANYDVD
CloneDVD & AnyDVD Guide by MadBob
OK after a bit of prompting by FutureProof I have decided to write a Tutorial based around using AnyDVD along with CloneDVD, I am writing this Tutorial to help anyone who is not familiar with the usage of these programs, and while CloneDVD claims to be a One Click solution perfect for Newbies, I can assure you from personal experience this depends on the newbie
AnyDVD ? CloneDVD by MadBob - 07-07-2003 last update 18-11-2003 (NOTE: Images in this Tutorial may be from different revisions)
What you will need:
* CloneDVD: The latest product form Elaborate bytes, and even from this early stage this is looking (and performing) very promising.
* AnyDVD: This clever little piece of Software will De-Encrypt a DVD on the fly allowing you to Copy your own personal store bought DVD onto your PC, Remove Macrovision and RCE, it will also allow you to Play DVDs purchased over the internet that are designed to play only in the original sale region.
* Note: AnyDVD has a problem with Matshita (Panasonic) xx-8xxx series drives, but so does a lot of the Decoding software out there.
* A DVD reader.
* Optional a DVD Writer. (you can use Daemon Tools to create a virtual drive)
* Addition 26-08-2003: AnyDVD now supports Windows 95/98/SE/ME/2000/XP
The AnyDVD software is necessary to allow CloneDVD to backup the content of most of the DVD Movies on the market today, CloneDVD for legal reasons cannot copy CSS protected DVDs, however you can read the DVD to your hard drive using one of the following Freeware programs, DVD Shrink or DVD Decrypter, but by using these free programs you are one further step away from achieving the ideal of a Finished copy of your original DVD (IE: you will still then need to run CloneDVD to Transcode / ReMux or Burn)
Download (from the links above) the AnyDVD and CloneDVD trial software, both these products come with a 21 day trial, this is plenty of time to find out if they are working satisfactorily on your set-up,
Installation
Install AnyDVD and CloneDVD and reboot your system (this is critical) neither of these programs is difficult to install.

I have been using AnyDVD & CloneDVD for many years as well as the DVDX Series (platinum & Rescue)....
I have tested everything and this is a very specific conflict between the Drive and I believe the elbycdio.dll. As the problem is extremely specific with ONLY DVD-Video Discs....every other form of disc is fine.
I get this stop error from the BSD:
STOP: 0x0000007F (0X00000000, 0X00000000, 0X00000000,0X00000000)
Then I get a report from the BIOS:
Auxiliary Device Failure
I have tested this drive alone on an IDE Channel (primary & Secondary) as a master. I have de-installed all extraneous software and did a full registry clean, and then re-install of only the relevant programs. I updated the drives of the motherboard's Primary BUS Master.
I can still RIP DVDs from a primary DVD-ROM and burn to the DVD-RW Drive....but it does not and will not accept a DVD-Video disc of any sort if AnyDVD has been activated in any form (i.e. even if its been deactivated but previously enabled or Safe mode).
The Drive is going back most likely....I'll fiddle with it a couple more days. The curiosity of what is causing this problem is driving me more than the actual solution (which will be a different drive).

Good idea to look at the light side and not go crazy or get frustrated. Does other buring programs cause the error?

I have a question about using Clone DVD. Is there a way to burn two different DVD's onto one DVD. I'm backing up some exercise DVD's and would love to consolidate and put more than one on a disc.

Update on that restart problem I was experiencing between AnyDVD and the SONY DRU-810A Drive:
It was DEFINITELY the DRU-810A Drive as I replaced it with an NEC ND-3550A Drive. Re-installed AnyDVD and the program and Computer performed perfectly.
The SONY DRU-810A did work with DVD43 but you could not make consecutive copies and had to restart between copies (using CloneDVD2). Attempting to insert a DVD-Video Original after a copy was done would force a restart.
I guess I'll sell this DRU-810A on Ebay or hope that the information I've provided can help Slysoft figure out the issue between their elbycdio.dll and the SONY Drive.

FYI....I did run the SONY DRU-810 drive with AnyDVD and DVD43 separately....with the above results I mentioned.
This was version 9.6.5.1 of AnyDVD.....so maybe they've fixed the problem but it was definitely a conflict b/w the elbycdio.dll and the drive firmware.
Not willing to take apart my computer again to test it....anyone else out there wanna try??
Other than that get the cheap DVD-DL+/-RW NEC Drive from NewEgg....works great.

I have a question about the new version of AnyDVD (5.9.5.6)
I've found that if I right click on the perky little fox that I am able to rip a video-DVD to my hard disc ... Ok, that's fine and well but when I try to rip a DVD that I've produced on my LiteOn LVW-5005 set top recorder .. with 6 different recorded Three Stooges shorts (with the menus that the recorder makes automatically) all that gets ripped to the hard drive is #2-6 and it does each one twice ... in other words, when I open up the files with DVD Shrink, what I see is 2,3,4,5,6,8,9,10,11,and 12 .. with 2 and 8, 3 and 9 etc. being the same. I hope that I've been clear about this .. What's up?
Victor

The discs are discs that I created .. so AnyDVD really isn't needed .. Clone, DVD Decrypter Nero all won't rip the complete disc to my hard drive .. the only program that will is DVD Fab for some reason .. but AnyDVD is much faster ...
