i think that the only way is to restart your psp again to go to devhook menu..

Hello I running henc and devhook 0.4x everything works fine, but some isos like KILLZONE and Medievil are not running, in some other post I found this " Games like killzone,you have to disable HENC to play it,just go to the devhook menu and disable HENC" but in my devhook there is not option to disable HENC, any other option to play this games

Guys first of all there is a good news that SE-c and HEN-D will be coming out next week and it is made by the very own DARK_ALEX,who's the man.i wonder if SE-C will support in our TA-082 but i know that HEN-D is for us and most probably the lag or freeze will be gone.
i'm just hoping that SE-C will work for we TA-082 users so that we can just play iso game and homebrews in one firmware.
no problem pantherX,users come to forums to ask questions right.
you have disable henC when u were playing killzone right,when disabling it,it is hard to go to devhook try your luck to boot HENC but most of the time you will need to HARD reset your psp if you are playing killzone.
elperuano u have to disable HENC,yes that is correct but you forgot one think is that you have to change the "UMD SFO VERSION" to "2.XX to 2.00"

@PantherX you can play KillZone when Henc is disabled, But you cant Run Devhook it says Corrupt File, You need to Hard Reset you PSP to be able to run the HenC and the Devhook again. Its Suks but its the only way. And we are Very thankfull for this guide becoz it Gives Life to the Dying TA-082 PSP. ^_^

Hey Keal, do i have to enable the CSO Cache when using CSO game? will it help the lag from CSO games?

thanx for the reply I did change the 2.xx 2.00 but anyway my problem is I cant find in the devhook screen where to disable henc, I the devhook version Im running its not an option, anyway I cant find it anywhere, now my psp when back to 2,71 and trying to boot for henc but nothing happens try 10 different times and the psp just freeze..I need some help

Hello,
Sorry if this has been asked before. I tired skimming through the thread and I haven't seen this issue.
I've installed both the easy installer and the manual system and both had the same issue.
I get all the way though and I can see the icons for the iso files, both on the PC via USB and on the memory stick but nothing I do will make them load.
Has anyone else seen this problem?

I have a few Iso
GTAVC
Me and My katamari
Sims 2
Bubble Bobble Evolution
Fifa Street 2
etc etc
All are iso's no cso's
When I press Home, left analogue stick twice, I see Iso. I press Right analogue stick once and I see icons for all of the games.
I and scroll up and down but I can't find a way to select and or load any of them. I've tried all of the buttons but none of them will load the game.

Don't worry guys I've figured it out
You need to have a UMD in the Drive and then choose UMD from Game.

I dont have any ADD ON MENU...when I open my DEVHOOK 0.4X LAUNCHER FOR 2.71 , I'll find this:
START
UMD SELECT
FIRMWARE
CPU CLOCK
BOOT SELECT
(blank space here)
OTHER MENU
EXIT DEVHOOK
In OTHER MENU
UMD SFO VERSION
REMOTE CTRL
preload address
(blank space here)
RETURN TO TOP
Where do I find the disable HENC option in order to play killzone ??

@lord good help.anyway u do not need to enable the cso cache to play cso games.cso cache is to save to game on what you are playing follows your action but i really never tried it weird.
if u want to know what is cso cache.here
What is CSO cache system and how to use it?
The CSO cache system is based on assumption that not all game data is required when you play a game. If you enable it and play a CSO game, a proccess will be running in background to record what data is used by current game section. Please note the game play may slow down a bit because of the extra process in background. It is suggested that you play the game by select those features and modes you will play most in future and repeat play for several time to make sure some random data is recorded by CSO cache system.
After you exit the game and return to XMB, the size information for selected CSO has two number like this <123.4/567.8MB>. The first number(123.4) is uncompressed size of recorded game data, it should be something of several ten MB for a reasonable CSO cahce file that can play. Then select "Copy to MS" to copy those recorded data from original CSO file to special folder in MS "ms0:/iso/cache". Finally, you can play those CSO cache file(same name as original CSO file) in MS just like the original CSO file.
The recoded game data information is saved in *.idx file inside folder "ms0:/dh/thumbnail" which is small in size(at most 2k) and will be accumulated every time you play the original CSO file. When you select a CSO cache file in MS, you can also see two number of size information like this <123.4/100.5MB> or <*123.4/100.5MB>. The actual size of CSO cache file should always smaller than the uncompressed size because of compression. The '*' character is indication that some new game data was recorded by CSO cache system since your last "Copy to MS" operation and you should select the original CSO file and "Copy to MS" again to make sure needed game data will be added to CSO cache file.

elperuano,u know why u couldn't disable HEN.coz u are using DARK_ALEX devhook there is no disabling HEN function in dark_alex.
the only easier way to disable hen and play killzone is to use chunglams devhook.you can get the easy installer in teh end of the first post

OK kealvalro , I did format my ms,follow the installer in the firt post and now when I opened the devhook in the setting for firmware is only 2 options 271nandflash and 150
I guess somewhere in between step
C and the final step I did something wrong
Help please !!!

elperuano hope I'm not intruding but I just went thru this LOL
in the first post of this thread under "2nd_choice" item C... follow those instructions....You are just taking 271 not the full installer...Good Luck O-hell here is item C
C)moving "Devhook v0.46 ultimate installer v1.1.1" to psp
1.make a folder in desktop name anyname mines is "julia"
2.open "UI v1.1.1" aplication (known as Devhook v0.46 ultimate installer v1.1.1)
3.click "next" three times
4.choose (of course i agree with the terms!lets Get 'Er done!) and click next
5.install in to the folder "julia" that you made in desktop then click next
6.open the folder you made in desktop "julia" then open (dh/271),move all the
file here to your "memorystick"(dh/271)

not a problem accat131, I did that follow every single steps, but my devhook is showing in firmware options only 271nandflash an 150, anyway , I did load killzone in my iso folder change 2.xx 2.00 disable hen and now Im playing killzone ..any ideas ??? Im going to be OK or not ??

ok now i got stuff to work on chunglams 2.71 ver. like socom 2 and killzone but when i head into 1.50 the screen looks like mehugggh. the background is all white and nasty so u really cant see anything. on top of that the gameboot is diffrent and some homebrew applications wont work like the "book reader" and the "IR shell" that dark_alex had on his. also theres this weird cso file that comes with chunglams ver. in the iso folder, when u highlight it in the psp it plays this "James Brown" music WTF?!?! and when u select it, it asks u to update to 9.99 WTF WTF?!?!? these r the initial reasons y i didnt like chunglams ver. at the begining but with a little help i hope ill be able to understand it a little better and hopfully help a couple other folks who get confused as well.
here are my main questions:
1. how do i change the 1.50 Background?
2. how can i get the other homeberw apps to work?
3. what's the deal with that cso file called "XMB-BOOT[USUS-00001].cso"
4. it would be nice if i could change/switch the gameboot sequences a bit.

I too was successful my snoopy iso was a dud..and so was another iso I had...It was driving me crazy since the first file I tried was a dud iso

ok guys thanks for for thanks hehe.welcome anytime.to change the the background.you have to fix the size of the file to want to place as the background and change it with the 00.01.02.03.04 and so on.
for gameboot,actually i don't like to always stay on one kind.so what i do is i place a gameboot.cso in the gameboot folder and it will change after a while great.it changes gameboot by itself.
the cso file called "XMB-BOOT[USUS-00001].cso is for 2.71 only it is just for changing to boot xmb or boot umd.u can delete it if u want anyway i think no one want to use it.
the homebrews is the same as the darkalex ver.
but soon this is going to end.darkalex is making se-c and henD and we are going to play iso and homebrews in one firmware,awesome
