Some people say yes and some say "DONT IT WILL BREAK YOUR PSP!!"
So i am really confused on should i do it or no, but i really want to play my ISOs :(
So please give suggestion guys, im really confused and dont want to break my PSP cause i just got it with my savings...
Thanks alot.
the ppl that say dont it will break ur psp are retards because the first thing u see in kealvaro post is that IT WONT BRICK YOUR PSP geeese. just update ur psp too 2.71, grab the easy installer, and follow the directions, u should do just fine
Ok thanks. But what does the Easy Install do? (I know i gotta update from 2.6 to 2.71 first )

Easy Installer will make your PSP TA-082 Run ISO GAMES, and Homebrew Apps.
@Kealvalro Bro, it is possible to make level 4 or 5 brightness in this Devhook emulated 2.71 FW?

tony hawk p8 works perfectly =).
i was looking through forums about memsticks. i just happen to have one of the MSX-M2GN 2GB SONY MemStick PRO DUO HIGH SPEED. I bought it for 35 bucks and it works perfectly. People are saying something along the line of, that this is a fake card or somthing. Any one know anything about this card?
I also got a SanDisk Pro Duo 2GB, i duno if anyone caught the black friday sale, got mine for $20 bucks =)

yeh that card is fake. way to cheap to be real. Look on eabay 99% are fakes because they are priced so low. The difference betweenn fake and real is a smaller maximum capacity of the fake than the real. Many users have no problems at all witht he fake cards. My friend bought 1 off ebay, knowing it was fake, and has had no problems with it. I have heard of the cards failing over time though.

@kealvalro i am using your newest easy installer for tony hawk p8.
i got the ms from a co worker, and it is the japanese one that has the psp logo at the top right. i read somewhere that the model is actually out of print or something. and that they made a new model and sold off all the older models for really cheap and that is the reason why people are selling them cheap on ebay and such.
as for the quality, sometimes the psp shuts off while im playing the game or when it needs to load. and i still havnt successfully gotten capcom reloaded to work on it. i dont know if thats just because of my psp or because of the mem card.
im hoping once i start using my sandisc (store bought), everything will work :)

oops ... Does ur psp turn off only on project 8 or other games aswell? does ur psp shut off when its loading cut scenes/videos? cos mine does that and i have a real card. If so then its nothing to do with ur card its a devhook problem.

well it shut off when i was about to take a challange from one of those people standing around. it was just laoding up and went to black and then just shut off.
also, i have never been able to play capcom reloaded for soem reason. ive downloaded sooo many different iso's and none work. i havnt tried it on the newest version of devhook but on the last version it would load up sucsessfully untill i actually wanted to choose one of the lil arcade minigames in it. and it would load then give me an error. i duno if thats a devhook problem or maybe my memcard.

Ok necro ur problem with tony hawks is the same as mine. The reason it crashes when u talk to a person is that there is a cutscene coming and for some reason the psp cannot load the video properly. With capcom classics, i dont know exactly the problem but in the extras menu of Devhook try disabling "HEN Mode" i cant remember what the option was exactly but when i cudnt get killzone to run at all, changing that made it run.
As for ur memory stick it might be fine so dont throw it or anything lol.

haha yeah im just gonna keep usin the mem stick as long as it works. about the capcom reloaded, i tried many different settings to try to make it work. and for one moment it did make one of the minigames work but then never again after that. it was wierd.

just downloaded chunglams easy installer and looks ok. good thing about this one is that once you are in 1.5 f/w it lets you back into devhook so you can switch back to 2.71 to play iso's and homebrew without shutting down....cool

Hey kealvalro,
I was using Socom FTB-2. I thought that the fix in HEN-D even specified the fix for the .prx issue. You still have to use the HEN Disabled option in Chunglam's 1.65c3 but it works. It worked with HEN-C as well. I don't have the other game you are talking about to test out.

ok then, place an iso game in the directory \USBHOST_PCSERVER\ISO then do this press home and move the analog stick right on a game in the iso folder of your psp not the iso folder in the pc.when done place a umd inside and see if the game of the iso comes out.if it does then hold HOME for three secs then choose usb mode in the menu move the analogstick right to choose it.now you will see three options
usbhostfs
usb storage
off
rite,move the cursor on "usbhostfs"
do this first and tell me you finish
