Is there any way to play Resident Evil 4 or LOTR The Third Age using the Max Drive Pro? You have to swap disc to play disc 2. I am not sure how if it is even possible.
Could some nice person explain please.
Thanks

Well, I have grown tired of swapping disks and memory cards. If anyone wants a MaxDrive Pro, you can have mine.
PM me with an offer. I will mail the memory card with all the software and the USB cable to the person with the highest bid before November 7. I also have a BBA for sale.
I have ordered a premodded GC with Viper Extreme. It has a USB connection for backing up games and what not. It costs a whopping $245.17 USD from MODCHIPMAN.COM. The cost is high but at least I won't need to swap disks.
I bought the MaxDrive Pro for about $50 (including shipping costs) back in June and I bought the BBA from amazon.com for about $35 in August. If you would like the BBA and/or MaxDrive Pro just send me a Private Message.

There is a Max Drive Pro on ebay now, I'm getting rid of mine now that I've got my Xbox 360!!!
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?...em=200035416227
Thanks to all the guys on this forum I've been using the MDP successfully for a long time now - it works great!
Thx BluShift
PS I hope it's okay to post this, I just wanna pass on my MDP to someone who wants it rather than leaving it sitting in a box unused!

Since the MDPro is discontinued, everyone wanting to play backups without soldering and stuff should use the SD-card + Action Replay mod, I use it and never had a problem with it.

@gitkua,
What is the method of using AR? I came across one for $9.99 at Toys-R-Us and might try it. Have plenty of success with the MDPro but another method is always useful. btw I have tried a search for this method and have found nothing that would help me at this point.

hello all..
i just placed an order for a max drive pro at codejunkies. I guess they are back instock(am i the only one who noticed this?). I compared the product photos against pics supplied by Brucedlk, and noticed a difference. The new pic showed DEV 3 MaxDrive Pro. I placed my order and can't wait to receive it. I hope it's just new packaging, otherwise I just wasted $70 dollars canadian.

Hello All...
I have an update regarding the Max Drive Pro... An email was sent to me stating my order was authorized, however they are out of this product. The email continues to state that I should check back with availability status of the Max Drive pro. I must say i'm saddened and confused by this response. Will I be waiting indefinately for the Max Drive Pro to be resupplied? I sent an email with my concerns to codejunkies support. Sorry Bruce Dlx for jumping the gun with good news regarding the restocking of this product. I guess I'll have to wait for a response from codejunkies....(The adventure begins)..Oh and if anyone has a Max drive pro for sale..Let me know on this forum.

well whatever the case may be, it now at least has a page that says they are indeed selling the max drive pro.
Before when I made the first edit, clicking the link took you to a webpage that said the maxdrivepro had been discontinued, there was no way to even purchase it. Right now, it seems that they have just re-introduced the product and are out of stock at the moment.
Thinking back, I probably gave codejunkies tonnes of business, and the smart thing to do would have been to become an affiliate and try to earn some commission. Oh well lol.

Quote: EDIT:
IT seems that Codejunkies has discontinued the Max Drive Pro from their site. This means it is no longer possible to buy the MDPro from them. I do not know where else you could buy them either. If anyone knows anywhere else where these are available, please post it and I will add it here. Until then, if you don't already have the Max Drive Pro, you are outta luck on this method. Sorry :(
EDIT2: It seems that the MAXDrivePro is now back in stock! So if you want to buy it than feel free. Please disregard the above edit.
If you enjoy this tutorial plz sticky it so others can as well.
So itr seemed they continued there shipment. Did they modify the max drives pro so the method wont work? Anyone tried?

I am all of a sudden having problems playing games, whether burnt to disk or through the BBA.
All of my disks now give a DRE. "Refer to instruction manual" appears every time. Some games do it right away and some after awhile of playing but each always in the same spot, every time.
Through the BBA I get an "INITIALIZATION ERROR."
My week can't get any worse. I was just informed that the premod w/ Viper Extreme I ordered from modchipman.com is out of stock. They say "We're out of Vipers so I'm not sure how long its going to be. If you want a refund just let me know."
I asked if there was a long waiting list and they said, "Well Im not sure if/when we're getting more, it could be a long wait.."

I'm not even going to pretend to know anything about PS2 consoles. I don't own one. You could do a search in the forums for your answer. Using logic I would say the chips should but again I don't own a PS2. I have looked up a chip for my cube and there seems to be no differentiation between PAL and NTSC cubes for modchips. Good luck in your search.

Getting back on topic...
Has anyone tried these "new" MDPs? I was looking at the qoob pro/viper gc extreme, but this method seems easier in terms of "installing." It also wont void your warrenty and my cube still is under it for a few more months.
Also, has anyone tried this with GCOS 1.x? (I tried to read most of the thread but with 28 more pages to go, that quickly got tiresome.)

Some features:
2 disc game support
qoob flash explorer
multigame discs
boot .gcm or .iso from data dvd's
audio fix
dvd-/+r support
dvd explorer
cheat system
banner showing
EDIT: Also, have any of the ones with DREs tried to change the lasers pot? Granted this will void any warrenty, but it also enables your cube to read many different brands of media.
PSTwo(v12) /w DMS4 PRO(ToxisOS 0.41) /w HDD mod
NGC(D101) /w Qoob Pro (GCOS 1.x)
SNES /w custom case
