there 's no issue on yr original firmware..cos devhook is jus emulate to another firmware for to play higher version of games..u can use any firmware..

my dev.46 workin normal...
my ? is my older games dont want to work while
using .46 my 1.5-2.71 (dev hook) and also psp with ta mobo hen d
old games such as Virtua tennis work on neither
also WSOP '05 only wants to work in FastLOader
both games (ISO'S) operate fine in 1.5
i sorta wanna solve this so i can just run se-c and
only use 1 mem. card instead switching for older games
any and all help appreciated thanx in advance, X

ok i think i done it but to play iso's do i just create a iso folder again

blade003...yup..the only changes is the way u use it..u no need to choose yr game in devhook..u can choose it after u boot in 3.02..jus press home n everything shld be workin fine..

Hi all, I have spent hours reading through all the posts and still no answers to my problem. Yes I am a total newb and it's probably all my fault but please help!!
I have a new psp fw2.60, I ran the easy installer step by step ( http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/367862 ), I updated the fw to v2.71, and everything ran fine at first. I ran the hend and the pars and was in fw1.50 emulation, got to the step that says to shut off the machine and turn it back on. Of course it comes back up to the 2.71fw, and I can't get hend to run again. When I try usually the psp just locks, sometimes I get a blue screen and immediate reboot and it comes back up in 2.71fw. I tried to run the devhook anyway and of course it says unable to start the game. Please help!! I've tried to run the hend about 25ish times now and still either locks or blue/quick reboot and back to 2.71fw. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance, I am not sure why I need the 3.02 anyways, but doesn't matter since can't get it back in 1.50. I am soooooo confused.

I have all of the ISOs working now with devhook .46. My question is...will I ever need fastloader or UMDemulator because they wont load the games I have. Should I del them to save the space on the mem stick? Thanks for all the help. Devhook is awesome! I really like the switch ISO feature without a reboot. Excellent program.

I created another thread for the problem I am having but I was directed here, so I will ask away. I have the ta-082 fw2.71. I cannot connect WiFi while in fw 1.50 using DH 0.45.
It works when I am in stock FW as well as running DH 0.46. For some reason when I run FW 1.50 I get "80410d07" as an error when trying to connect to my network.
I have tried manually inputting all my DNS and IP info as well as letting it do it automatically and no difference. I also have tried with 233/133 and 222/111 and still nothing.
I am not sure what to try anymore.

Has any1 got smackdown vs raw 2007 and metal gear ops isos running on dev hook 46 or will i have to install dev 0.51???And if so does dev 51 operate in the same way as .46??? And finally is it possible to brick psp or does all the info just go on to memory card

swm20001-you can get rid of fastloader ect!!!! devhook46 will start all games upto 2.81 firmware.Im also new to all this i have 2 isos which i think need devhook .51 ie smackdown vs raw 2007+metal gear ops and im scared to try and install in case i do something stupid im more than happy with all isos i can use with dev 46.But all new games from now will need dev hook 51 i think???hope this helps

@celoe- You can't run ISOs on any firmware above 2.71 so you can't run DevHook.
yungjeezy- What version of DevHook are you using? Try using DevHook 0.51, follow this guide to set it up: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/399310 . Also Smackdown vs RAW requires a fix to get it working, see here:

BTW If you find that the game freezes while you are playing, turn off the entrances.
sssilver- Try using DevHook 0.51, heres a guide:

kweasye- Are you sure that you dont have a UMD inserted? You must take a UMD out before running HEND and then put it back again after rebooting. We need to emulate firmware 3.02 in order to run ISOs of the latest games.
swm20001- I have only heard of one game that works with fastloader but not DevHook, and that is Medievil. However you will not have to keep UMD Emulator on your memory stick.
rhinogolf- No you require DevHook 0.51 for both of those games. Smackdown vs RAW also requires a fix, see here:

DevHook 0.51 operates slightly differently. It writes to flash the first time you use it, but it only writes a small configfile to flash1 and it doesn't overwrite/delete anything so its very safe. Just remember to keep the AC adapter plugged in when you flash.

My brother has a psp 2.01 that i brought him. I donwload a few pc games via torrentspy, and want to do the same for his psp.
Ive done some searching on here and it tottaly confusing me, theres eboot loaders, devhook etc etc.I just want to download games, put it on his 2GB mem stick and play them.
So im reading that getting my firmware to 1.5 would be good, but i dont think i can do that, from what ive read and understand i need to get the 2.71 firmware - which i cant find on the sony website, they only seem to have the latest 3.02, and put devhook on my psp??
If i get the 2.71 firmware, and follow a guide and get devhook on the mem stick will i be able to download a few games for my brother?? or will it be only certain games??
ANy help would be appreciated as he has been nagging me about it for ages.

You can play downloaded games (called ISOs) using DevHook 0.51.
1. Download the 2.71 update from here:
http://www.psp-hacks.com/category/47
2. Extract the zip file and then copy the 2.71 EBOOT.PBP to X:\PSP\GAME\UPDATE\ (where X is the drive letter of your PSP).
3. Plug in your AC adapter on your PSP and then go to GAME-->Memory Stick and run the update.
4. Once you have upgraded to 2.71 follow this guide:

i cant get the devhook 0.51 to work.
i downloaded that file read and followed everything......i do the HEND click fine psp turns off screen flashes blue.....i then go to the devhook .4x launch for 2.71, change all the options then its on FW1.5. so i click on the devhook firmware installer....it then goes through the process of saving all them files or whatver...once its done it goes back to home scr.now....this is where it fucks up. the readme says turn off psp turn it back on and load up HEND....well it wont let me load it up...just loads it as a pic? what am i doing wrong? i then try clickin the devhook appz and they dont work keep bringin up game cant start blah blah....need help i wanna try this Raw vs smackdown iso i patched it!!!thanx for that too...

Are you sure you rested your PSP properly? Go to Settings-->System Settings-->System Information and see if it says 2.71 or not.
