I was just roaming the net and came upon this article and was wondering how sony gets away with lying to its cutomers.behold this article and hate me or love just give some feedback on sony pulling a fast one yet again.sorry for botching the title of the thread if theres a way to edit let me know.

Gamepro is completely unbias and its not a good sign that 4 of their top 5 article on Sony are all negative.

Sony pissed off a lot of people at this year's E3 but like I said in my post here...

...I don't think this is enough to derail their hype machine. Sony may have to do some rethinking of their marketing strategy but the PS3 will still have a successful launch.

Well eatsushi is right it prob wont derail their hype machine. Most fanboys are to ignorant to listen to anything. Just read some of those comments on that article.
Even in the other topic he posted valid gameing sites which reviewed E3 press conference only to be answered by "the power of bloggers"
Rofl it amazes me sometimes how far they will go to protect their "precious"

All I know is Sony has not let me down before with their consoles. Nintendo let everyone down with the Gamecube. The 360 is still proving themselves. I like my chances with Sony

and you prove yourself as an insolent fool with nothing to do but dis the ps3 for removing something it never even finallized. 2x usb and mem cards really mean that much to you? they are uneeded really. the loss of hdmi issnt much of a loss to someone like me w/o HDTV. they never "promised" everything, and things had to be taken to make it more sonsumer friendly. why be so upset of things uneeded you didnt even have to begin with?
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

its not the fact that they are needed or not needed just i remember quite clearly a few months ago sony fanboys screaming omg the ps3 has 2 hdmi's, 6 usb ... etc etc
they used this as arguments to shit all over the 360 anad wii
at the time i said those features arent really that important cause who is really gonna use 2 hdmi? 6 usb? yet fanboys kept posting and posting bout it and how its so much superior to the 360 and wii
thats y i find it funny that now they dont need it, and its not important

The extra USB slots will be important for both SONY and third party peripherals in the future. The HDMI out will be VERY important for me and for millions of others who have jumped on the HDTV bandwagon. Heck I have one HDMI input on my SONY SXRD that has already been labeled {Reserved for the PS3}. The lack of these features do not make the PS3 more consumer friendly. Without these the PS3 is LESS consumer friendly.

The Wii not having any kind of High Def support now that is a HUGE let down if you ask me. Obviously though if you don't have hi def, you don't know what you are missing but believe me, you are missing alot

I care not to continue to prove you wrong but i find it funny how you peaked in on this thread and were upset that i bashed the ps3, which truly i didnt bash it i just posted an article that put the truth out there and we all know how much you hate the truth being as your a fanboy.You said in anotehr thread that your not a fanboy but just a sony fan who will evaluate both consoles but you have yet ot say anything positive about the xbox 360 and MILLIONS of good things about the ps3 which isnt even out yet.It doesnt matter that those features may be extraneous but its the fact that sony doesnt deliver what it promises.7 controllor ports is too many but hey thats what their doing so when they say 6usb ports fans should expect to get that and so on with HDMI.If your getting a conosle such as the ps3 for graphics and u dont own an hdtv in my opinion thats kinda crazy.You can get an hdtv for like 300bucks,granted it will still have the bubble back and wont be that big but its pointless to invest in a graphical update if you cant get its full potential.I am one who thinks that NEXT GEN should be experienced in hdtv if you want your moneys worth. YOu can buy an xbox 360 and a low end hdtv for the price of the ps3 and one game which is a hell of a deal if you ask me...ps3 just isnt worth the hefty price tag.This just proves your bias.Its obsessive naive fans such as you thaqt keep sony in control of the gaming market,but luckily for other gaming companies customers are starting to catch on to sonys false promises time and again.

RikJames, you mention that the PS3 is going to have 7 controller ports! That is so awesome! It is about time a console maker did this. Sony is always on top of everything, that is why they rule the console world. The 360 has some balls of it's own though, making the future very bright for true hardcore gaming fans!! I like it, I love it, I want some more of it!!

i dunno if there will actually be 7
cause if you look at the pictures of the controller, on the top of the controller in between the bumper buttons you see 4 lights labeled 1-4, im guessing corresponding to which control you are playing so you dont get confused.
if they were gonna support 7 dont you think they would have made 7 lights numbere 1-7?

so anubis, after knowing you for nearly about 6 mounths, i have heard you say these thing regarding the quote i posted above. the ps3 will have better graphics, the ps3 will have hdmi, the ps3 will be more expensive b/c it will be the first hd console, the ps3 will look best on HDTV.
so after saying all this (and do not say that you did not, b/c its saturday tomorrow i have the time in the world and if you want i will find quotes) how can you then say that you will not need hdmi, b/c obviously you are looking forward to the ps3 graphics and are justifying the price for the graphics, so i would have thought hdmi would have been up there on your list. also i remember you saying how all the ps3 usb ports would be great, well... also that the 7 contollers would be a great asset.
anyways what i am trying to say, is that sony said a whole load of bull s**t, people believed them, and what they wanted to happen happened, whcih was to make people not buy the xbox 360 at its launch, and want to make people wait till the ps3 comes out. so now that sony have come out with the truth, all the fanboys that said the ps3 this... and the ps3 that.. must eat their words. you can not just say oh i do not need that anymore, just come out with it and say i love the ps3, but this time sony f**ked me up.

Just like your parents or friends have to lie to you sometimes to protect you, that is what maybe Sony does sometimes. In the end they have your back and will always come through for you at clutch time. You can hate the player, but don't hate the game. And in Sony's case the "games" are going to be top notch as always. Nintendo failed with the Gamecube, The 360 is bad but the original Xbox was a failure. PS1 and PS2? Pure magic. Everyone hates the Yankees because they always win. I wish everyone would stop hating on Sony and just wish them well. I think the better the big 3 do, the better for everyone

M$ came out last e3 in 2005, with actual gameplay, whcih sucked at the time b/c it was not even at beta stage, but they took load of bull for that and at the same time sony showed cgi, so it put xbox 360 in a bad showing, whcih sony if they were fiar rivals would not have done.

Sony always comes out on top because it has fans who follow them like their n a cult.Doesnt help that it has the japanese are buying up their console like hotcakes.MS stands no chance over there which gives sony a leg up by default.Peopl call xbox the hardcore gaming system because of all its viloent titles but remember gta makes its big break on ps2.i know it was out b4 that but it broke out when it released on the ps2,now the series will be on the 360 oh yeh.Perefect example i post an article that CLEARLY states and cites sony LYING to its customers and you all shrug it off and make excuses for it.MS will always lose when its facing fans who follow SONY blindly(fanboys).

well i kinda lost what we were talking about mostly because ive been gone a day or 2.
but about that usb, again are you really gunna need more than 4? what are you gunna hook up to it for eff's sake that you would need more. this is funny because i remember when they said they would have 6 and ppl were all "omg why so many, omg omg its stupid" and not its the opisite.
and yes i talk about wanting the best hd, and that is why i say screw they cheap one. i wouldnt have gotten it anyway. with the lack of hdmi, it wont matter to some non hardcore gamer. most the ppl getting the cheap one will be an average joe who wants nice games but doesnt wanna decicate too much or doesnt want an HDTV because they put money elsewhere. i for one am getting the 599 model and an HDTV when i get a job. who knows when that will be.
im just trying to say, this guy who started this is doing it for some of the most lame reasons i have ever heard. if u dont like the lower model dont get it, that simple. anyone who cares enought for the extra fetures to matter would get the 599 one either way unless your too poor. even then so, what will you do with the usb and hdmi? nothing because ur too poor to afford an HDTV but u want to game. again, yes sony changed their minds in what in the console, but the version im looking at has all i will need.

and i read that article.
why are people getting pissed at them for not having built in wifi, sd, and hdmi. if u get the lower modle, things like that may not matter to u because its just for gaming. i dont have any sd cards, and i know about 2 ppl with them. i know about 3 with hdtv's. and most my friends dont have wifi in their homes because they have no laptop or other wifi thing.
also, my biggest question. why are all of you who lean towards ms hate sony for dropping those? do u see the 360 having built in wifi? hdmi? cd card slots? no. people buy it dont they? yes. to say its their biggest mistake ever would be rather unthought. for people who care, they will go up the extra 100 for the well worth features you can gain, and those for casual use will get the lower model, not messing with too many things about it like addons and all that.

Are we suppose to like sony for dropping features?
You are missing the big picture, we are not MS fanboys, we are fans of gaming, and if a company says this and this will be in a system i expect it to be there, if not in the lower end model than in the more expensive one. But yet sony didnt deliver.
Everyone seems to think we hate the ps3 because we love the 360.
Did you ever stop and think if sony actually delivered on its promises then i would be leaning towards them?

Well if you like the 360 so much why not go to the 360 forum.Sony didn't promise anything.It was all speculation until e3 2006 when they released the final specs.The 360 dropped features too.Does that mean I hate them- no-I like both systems and each have there strong point.

Woopz is a huge MS fanboy but he is in the closet. Come out of the closet man. You'll feel better about your situation when you do.
I have a 360 and I love it. I will also have a PS3 and I am pretty much 100% sure I will love that too because of what they did with the PS1 and PS2. They are reliable. That is not something you can say about the other 2 boys. Xbox 1 was worthless and so was the Gamecube. If the PS3 ends up being a bust than come PS4 time that would be the time to criticize Sony. But for now they are the undisputed champ. And champs need to be given the benefit of the doubt and the respect that they deserve
