i realized we dont have one of these for the random this and that rumor talk or to discus small things, since they all were closed in their own time. so heres a new one to discuss the systems with eitherr minor or major details. lets begin shall we?
i've noticed alot of negative press lately over the ps3, and i think its because now that all the main info is nout there and there is no more release, all people can do is speculate and you know some of it will be bad. there was a whole joke of one company called track7 that was said to have said "we are not making a ps3 version of Thesis because it is too expensive to produce for." but after some time they satated that this was a lie, they never said that and they never ever started making a ps3 version.

Good afternoon anubis.Happy 4th of july.
I think many of these companies take one side or the other.Alot of people have financial holdings(stock) with ms.So they want all the other consoles to lose so they can line their pockets with cash and ms can monopolize and take over the world!!!!!only kidding.Also many people like ms for other financial reasons.
Take my step dad for instance.He has been a programmer for 35yrs.When he first started unix ran the show and bill gates worked for ibm which used to own dos os.After words though my father was an early adopter of ms and now has all the most advanced certifications.Only 150 people in the world have his qualifications! but because of people like him ms became what they are today.
see he's made alot of money off of ms.and when ever the sony vs.xbox thing comes up he's all for xbox.His original xbox broke down so what's he do.... goes and gets 360.

one of my friends stepmom works for ms, so he is an avid supporter. i try to tell him the good things of the ps3 and the downside of the 360 in a tech stance, interface stance, and reliability (based on sony's history with me) but he would listen to nothing and be all "omg xbox is a much better line, sony sucks and cant make consoles, no one likes them" and that line i traditionally the line i here from 360 and xbox supporters. they are all so ignorant of boths sides and support for the oddest of reasons, much like rednecks with politics. most of the ps fans i know know their sh*t well and are great with techknolagy and that sort of thing, and with the xbox fans i know dont know squat and gloat their system like a god over anything.

anilists are saying that the ps3 will do the worst but they said that when ms was coming out aswell the overall quality of the sony name and the games are what will drive ppl to buy a ps3

I know what you mean and generally agree...see lot's of developers make money too.Just look at any pc game,program,anything and 9.9 times out of 10 it will say minimum system requirements : windows 98/me/2000/xp/vista.
Blah blah blah You won't see any other os listed.Same with hardware take your mouse or gamepad for instance.The drivers to make them work usually need windows.On and On....Ever watched MSNBC news which is the largest news company? Yep ms owns it...look around everyone uses Ie to surf, msn to search,media player for music...etc and think how many are in ms's pocket.
It's all about money and the rest are just mouthy punks who have jumped on board. I don't like ms,nintendo,or sony....I like 360,wii,and ps3.There is a big difference.I actually look at the specs and go by history and what's real.I don't make any money off of any of them..

I should note that sony has stock and many people in there pocket too.Almost everything I said can be applied to sony as well.But that only proves my point and that's that people take one side or the other NOT BASED ON THE ACTUAL SYSTEM but on money and who they like as a company.

i hate ie, msn search was a complete code ripoff of altavista so i'll never touch it, and wmp is the biggest load of crap for a largly commercial media player.
ms is a very quality lacking company with almost all they do. their os is rittled with viruses galore, they couldnt develope their own search engine, their media play is confusing and lacking in and of itself, and there are so many holes in anything they do its not funny. xp is basically windows 3.1 with coding slabbed on over time. vista will hopefully be dont more correctly, with less security holes for hackers and viruses to work from, a better media player, a better ie, and the requirement for a password to install anything. i hate that about a pc is any site can automatically download and install to your pc. anyone know of ezula?

some how i play ps1&ps2 games on my computer i wish they hav a software where one can play Ps3 games on computer cause i dont hav ps2 and my ps1 broke and ps3 is expensive
but i think one needs a Blu-ray discs, Blu-ray driver, exellent computer the software, controller, 7.1 or 5.1 sound system, 19" Lcd screen,a comfortable seat, some food and cooldrinks and snacks next to ya, and fast internet connection to search for some hints and stuffs and...thats bout it ^_^

there was a thread about that some time ago. it would take a good $3000 usd computer to emulate the ps3 efficiantly.

Nah don't count on it.Ms now has it's own anti-virus,spyware and firewall solution for like $30 so now they have an incentive for people to keep making viruses and malware etc.What will ms own next?Will we have to tattoo 666 on our heads if we don't agree with everything they say lol.
I don't use much ms stuff.I got FireFox and am happy with the built in google and dropdown box with other sites like wiki and ebay.When ever I go to a site were I usually get virus's I just disable java in FireFox.The coders rely on it for deployment.

@GTR35 just get a dscaler compatible tv tuner and dscaler(freeware) and you'll be able to play on your monitor..

macs dont have viruses. they dont leave holes because antivirus companies pay them. they dont allow hackers easy. they sont have spyware. they dont have any of that crap most of you know as bad. but ms makes money on it like you said, so why would they fix the holes? macs allow java yet still dont get that sh*t. there issnt one virus for macs, and the few ever made are patched within days to force it to die. i use my ibook the most on trips or when i wanna browse hack sites.

@anubis your right mac has a better os in general.The real reason mac doesn't have many viruses is because virus developers want to effect as many users as possible and with macs 3% market share it's not enough people.
As far as whay would they patch the holes they do in general has good intentions with viruses it's just strange that now they have there own solution and charge people to do what they should do for free!!!
@GTR35 yes it works dscaler is a software that it hard to explain shortly basically it will make your games look alot better.It scales the resolution of your monitor.Getting it will turn your monitor into an HDTV as far as games are concerned.

so wipeout is coming to the ps3. i remember plaing the 1st one and i loved it, and i owned wipeout 64 and loved it too.

Nah I wasn't saying ipod was around 2 yrs I just mean that link says q4 2004 they had a 2.88% market share so The share couldn't have gone up to much since that time.But like you said Ipod is changing things a little.
I haven't played wipeout is it any good? Glad to hear another titles is for ps3.

They are gaining more popularity due to Intel too, because of they have the new Intel chipsets.
Anyways, back on topic, Playstation 3 vs. Xbox 360 isn't a very fair way to put it because 360 came out almost a year before Ps3 will come out. Ps3 will be far superior in technology because they let themselves have time to develope the technology to incorperate in with the Ps3 where as the 360 ( in my point of veiw ) was rushed out into the market too fast.
