I was just wondering if there was a guide/instructions for these two programs separately and also using them together. I have never used either of these programs and have run into many problems recently with DVD Shrink and Decrypter. Thanks for your help.

Hi chpatte4
Both are fairly simple to use. AnyDVD runs in the background (you know it's running when you see a red fox in the system tray), Clone compresses & burns. If you do a full movie you can 'uncheck' what you don't want.

Here's 1 doing movie only - but w/ CloneDVD you have the option to check 'preserve menu' under the title configuration screen.

Here's a more detailed guide on both. The user interface is from early verions of AnyDVD and CloneDVD but still similar.

There are a few free programs that have picked where shrink and decrypter left off.
DVD Fab Decrypter - rip to your hard drive than open those files in Shrink. http://www.dvdidle.com/free.htm

Or Ripit4Me. Here's a guides from arniebear w/ links to download:

Let us know how it goes or if you need addt'l help

Hi warjon
A DVD 5 is a single layer disc - holds 4.38 gigs.
More than likely the + or - R's you are using.
Usually you'll see something like DVD+R 4.7gb on the wrapper.
