i called 4 gamestops/eb in my area on sunday to see if anything had changed. all 4 of the employees sounded like a broken record....basically nothing yet, october is just around the corner, but they wouldn't say anything. its going to be hard getting a ps3 come november.

I live in phoenix and call almost every eb and game stop and all said they will take preorders next month, so I asked if they had a set date and they answered no but next month and that because of what happened with the xbox they just want to make sure they have the right amount of ps3 before letting ppl know how many they have and ppl can preorder. I will call almost everyday starting next month just to make sure I get my hands on one of thes babies.

good idea, i think i might call up local stores ever day around mid october and after when preorders begin.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

Around how much do you think we will have to put down to preorder a PS3 at one of these stores, when they finally do go on preorder that is?

I dont think it will be a lot to put in cash to pre-order probably less then half the ps3 price.

FYE (upper midwest stores) charged $50 for each preordered unit. They stopped taking preorders after Sony announced the reduced launch numbers.

yeah, 50 is what it usually is. but even then so, to pick up the ps3 i'd need all the cash.

when i got my ps2 on launch after camping out, it was limited to one per individual in line. so if you went with a g/f, friend or parents, but technically each one of you could get a system if you like. as far as trying to get 2 on your own, i don't think it'll work out like that.
