Well you should start it off at a decent price because it would take awhile to get to the price you want if you started at one dollar.

Immersion rumbles with PS3 controller
by Ian Stanfield
The corporate bickering continues, as Immersion CEO Vic Viegas speaks with NextGen.biz about Kaz Hirai's interview with Kikizo, in which Hirai claimed that the cost of putting rumble into the SIXAXIS would be far too expensive.
?[Hirai?s] saying that [combining rumble and tilt in a controller] isn?t a technical problem any longer, so I?m glad their engineers figured that out?even though we knew the day after [Sony?s press release] how to do it," he said, adding that "[Immersion] knows of ways to combine these two technologies without incremental increase to the cost. We?ve helped at least one other party do this as well. It doesn?t really make any sense to me to say that the solution is really more expensive. I just don?t believe it is."
The "other party" Vic Viegas refers to is a company which recently released a tilt-rumble controller for the PS2 and PC; The controller is being sold for only $29.99.
Since the PS3 could be the only rumbless console this next-generation, it should be interesting to see gamers' response to the SIXAXIS.
does anyone care to comment on this ?

yeah they guys seas the rumble messes with the 6axis, and it would cost way to much 4 the consumer if they had to fix that. Maby in about 1-2 years the rumble might come back.

I'm sure sony will release a sixaxis shock controller , or at least announce one, sometime in 2007.
So you can re-purchase a new ps3 controller.

yeah Rome I think you are right maybe when the recoop and start gettin a good profit they might throw it back in ,well this post is a good find so I hope they do bring it back but im sure 3rd party controllers might bring one out untill then or if they do , lets cross our fingers because that would be a hell of a combination rumble and 6axis ? . Also when they got bashed about the Boom look how fast they changed it so they do listen to the fans thats one good thing about them

Quote: If you want to know what all your getting in your $500-$600 PlayStation 3 box, a recent brochure listing all items has found its way to some Japanese retailers and is now all over the net.
Here is the list of things to expect when you open your PS3 box:
* PS3 console
* 1 x controller
* 1 x USB cable
* 1 x Stereo AV cable, HDMI cable sold separately
* 1 x LAN cable
* 1 x Power cable
just speculation at this point and has not been confirmed yet...

Ps3 overheating issue from solved psm3.com
PS3 Overheating - The Truth
Hi. Dan G here again. (Thinks: Must get someone else to do the blog later on today...). Just wanted to post this early morning blog to settle a situation that has been gathering momentum on the net.
The question is: Does PS3 get hot? Not just 'hot' but 'dangerously' hot or hot enough to cause a malfunction. It has been reported in other circles that machines at the Tokyo Game Show were expiring dut to heat. It has even been suggested that this issue has played a part in the recent dip in Sony's share price.
OK. Here's the independent, non-Sony approved truth. We've played a PS3, for a day, in a room, with it on a table in front of us. At no stage did anyone comment about the noise it made (ie, next to none). And a collegue put his hand behind the machine after it had been running for a few hours and felt warm air being quietly and safely extracted via a fan via the vents at the back of the machine. The surface of the machine remained at room temperature with a small portion at the back being 'warm'. Not hot - 'warm'.
So, the PSM3 independent verdict here is that - quote - "PS3 generates less heat and noise than the combination of 360 and powerbrick
NYKO is making a intercooler for the ps3 that will look like this

Yeah thats interesting but they said they played for "a few hours". Im wondering exactly how long afew hours is because if it was only two then I would doubt it would overheat. AS well if you want this to be a "imforation-type thread" then I sujest you change the threread title because right now the thread title is called "is this what the PS3 box will look like ? " and that would stear a lot of people away from this if they are looking for imformation.

most expect the intercooler to be ready around december and should retail for about $19.99 - $29.99. i read a little while ago that the intercooler for the 360 has been the topselling accessory. probably not a bad investment either

@ Face, yeah I forgot you could change it thanks ,well at first it was about the box but hell lol we been there and done that aint it aint nothin else to say about it now so thanks for the reminder as I thought we might as well make it an info thread now since boxes been covered lol also great point they might not played it long to see if it over heat but then again ,maybe they did! I know if Sony sent one to me that bitch is gettin played out a new station ? hmmm
@ Hade ,man that is good news 19.99 to 29.99 I might have to get one cause I know damn well imma play the hell out of it lol It might come in handy until they the next wave ps3's

Good news in Land of the Rising Sun
Good news for Sony, for recent polls in Japan are showing a rise in interest for the PLAYSTATION 3 console. According to a report released by ITmedia, the 39 percent of the gamers surveyed have said that they plan to buy a PLAYSTATION 3. The number follows closely behind the 40 percent who said that they will buy a Nintendo Wii. The Xbox 360 currently remains the underdog, with only 16 percent says that they would like to buy it.
The report follows a survey done by Japanese gaming magazine, Gamaga, in which 20 percent said that they will be buying a PLAYSTATION 3 and 60 percent said that they will buy a Nintendo Wii. However, even though Gamaga's survey is older, we should point out that their readership is far more gaming-focused than ITmedia.
Various sources have attributed the rise in interest to Sony's recently announcement that the price of the console has been slashed. If true, we certainly hope that Sony will follow their own example and drop the price tag in other regions as well.
Im glad to see this as many blows Sony took the clouds are start to show some sunlight. also Resistance is burning up!! check it out and post all you views and latest info
