yeah i posted it some time ago.
But they all do sort of the same thing, and that is rearrange what you thought was real, and they remind you of the beauty of very simple things. You forget, because youre so busy going from a to z, that theres 24 letters in between... You turn on... tune in... and you drop out...

here is another link to the same commercial posted earlier with better quality. if you watch carefully and at the 29 second mark it shows a clock over a desk that reads 11:17. go figure, anyone notice anything else?
http://youtube.com/watch?v=w0QxoKnU5Zg
also if you pause it at the 16 second mark, and zoom in apparantly you can see a 3 in the kid's eyeball (your left his right eye)

i want to know why people are getting upset that sony wont have a good xmas season. well i dont think if it were in grand supply that it would. who the hell thinks the ps3 is an xmas item?!? who pays 600 bucks for one person every xmas? it doesnt happen often, and then others feel so left out unless they get expensive things too. this is not an item marked for gift giving at and point of the year.

idk, I think that Microsoft has the best marketers. Their "Jump in." ads are amazing...
This sony one is kind of dull though. Interesting, but nothing compared to the shootout ad that was banned for the 360.
Sony needs to realize that this is the age of viral marketing and make their TV ads very similar to the play beyond website.

i'd say they made that commercial that way to draw some attention from the younger poplution. there were no game clips or adult driven settings, the ambiguity of the ad i think is meant to raise some questions in people's minds. i said earlier the commercial was dull, but after thinking about it, i am not too sure it was really marketed at me(not personally). it seems the the website with the code and the commercial which apparantly had hidden things, are merely just big puzzles to get people to think about the ps3 and wonder...

resistance news from IGN
Quote: Fall of Man Demo Impressions
Resistance is done... lock and load!
by Jeremy Dunham
October 19, 2006 - Insomniac and Sony have officially finished work on Resistance: Fall of Man, and to celebrate, have created a sizeable two-level demo based off that code for today's "Gamers Day" held in San Francisco. We managed to get first dibs on that build (giving both stages a thorough play-through) and still walked away with the same feeling we've had for the last couple of months... that Resistance is going to be one of (if not THE) most appealing launch titles of November.
The difference between today's demo and the version that Sony had on display at TGS is minimal. Minute AI tweaks, small bug fixes, and slight visual polish is all that one usually expects at this point and that's exactly what we got. The stages used in this sample, however, are somewhat different. Level 1, for instance (aka "Viper's Nest," which is part of the Nottingham area shown off in Japan last month), has its final enemy scripting in place -- making things quite a bit more challenging (Insomniac's demo wasn't dumbed down in the least). Because of these final adjustments, this area's two main bad guys (a pair of belligerent "Titans") acted just like they're going to in the final game -- using lanky arms and giant plasma shots to take us out. Luckily, they arrive as bookends (one at the start, one at the finish), so we're not forced to fight them both at the same time.
Stage number two wasn't shown in Tokyo at all, and actually hasn't been seen since E3 when we played the game for the first time. This Manchester-based battlefield, known as "Outgunned," is probably the most recognizable of all the levels the public has seen thus far (you know, it's the one that looks almost entirely tan and gray and is filled to the brim with rubble and debris), but its appearance and performance now compared to E3 are definitely evident.
This obvious change can be found mostly in the little things. Shadows have been turned on, enemies work together more effectively, the number of cover points and onscreen allies has increased quite a bit, etc. Like the other stage, "Outgunned" is a little on the challenging side as well and pits you and a few of your NPC buddies against a large number of aggressive aliens. It'll definitely be interesting to see how this environment turns out in the full game, since the demo's version is quite the busy, quite entertaining, and quite hard.
During our session, we learned a couple of other tidbits that we hadn't really learned before. When using the sniper rifle, for example, you can target individual pieces of your enemies (the hoses on their back, their metal protrusions, limbs... you name it). This location-specific damage means that if you blast an opponent in the kneecap, he'll drop down to an injured kneeling position; blast a guy in the arm and it'll go limp for a moment or two leaving him open for more fire. Cool. We also discovered that your AI-controlled teammates won't be able to finish a conflict. Though they will do damage to an opponent when attacking him, it's up to you to finish the job -- think of them as strategic breathers.
Other interesting things on the discovery tip include the fact that Resistance's "skill points" work much in the same way that Insomniac's Ratchet skill system did -- rewarding players with unlockable goodies like cheats and skins for excelling in hidden ways. Also, the health system is similar to Halo's in that it regenerates over time but since your life bar is broken into a pip system, you can only regenerate lost health from within your remaining sections of the gauge. Our favorite little tidbit, though, is that players can customize their quick select wheel for weapons so they can jump to whichever guns they want in whatever order they want. It's small, but very handy.
There is one bit of bad news, though: Insomniac ultimately decided against going with 1080p and has kept the game at a maximum resolution of 720. But to learn more about that, head on over to this interview [Editor's note: Coming Soon] with our most recent interview with Ted Price where we talk technology, online features, and even Ratchet PS3.

Ps3 fliers show the light of 6axis in standby ?
Today at Digital Life event in New York, Sony was giving away to anyone was interesting an official PlayStation 3 flier. The flier describes the PS3 and its ?super?-powers in eight great pages.
Page one is? the cover, page two analyze the ?PLAY B3YOND? slogan, page three summarize PlayStation?s 3 hardware specifications, in page four you can read about the new Blue-Ray High Definition disk, page five talks about backwards compatibility, Online Connectivity, PSP Connectivity and Multimedia, in page six you can have your first impressions about the new SIXAXIS controller with motion sensitivity, in page 7 is a comparison between the PS3 Premium Package (60GB) and the PS3 Core Package (20GB) and in the last page eight, is the back cover displaying the PS3 in different angles.
Of course Sony didn?t forget to put pictures of different next generation games that will be available for the PS3 at its launch and in the near future.
MiVADiKA.com is making available the flier to anyone that wasn?t lucky enough to attend the event.
here are links to the other fliers

the biggest seller of psp's will be a price redux. they really are idiotic when wondering why psp sales are slumping.

yeah I think sony would do better at a $150 mark with the psp but alot of nintendo fanboys talk alot of ish about how the ds is killin the psp umm duh man it has pokemon , plus more teens buy the psp since they listen to music alot of older gamers buy it . not to say that the ds aint clever and innovative cause it is . I just think if pokemon was on the psp more kids would buy them lol maybe break them but keep buyin them and buyin them which would make those numbers way better

yeah, i think the value pack at 200 and the basic at 150 would do nicely. maybe even just down $25. but they need to make moeny somewhere.

Yea, but they didn't lower the price because that they're going a take a HUGE money hit when the PS3 comes out.
Personally, I think the PSP is a steal at the current price, if you know how to use loaders and homebrew.
