LOCOENG ,go protest at the white house if you want freedom of speech or yell in your front yard not here ,that what rules are for and BTW i saw your post trying to pick a fight with me i didnt take the bait!!! lol you did the right thing editing it.
if threads cause turnoil like the poltics then its degrading to the site which we/they dont want hopefully you understand that.
chaos in a tech site isnt good thats what we have with certian threads that we need to avoid

I don't have to protest at the white house for freedom of speech it was given to be when I was born by our forefathers and I won't allow you to be the one to take it away from me...sounds like you want to protest to have it taken away from the good citizens of the US.
I edited my thread because the more I thought of it the more I felt you were dragging me down to your level. But know I wish I had left it. It was more of a good idea for you not to respond to the post as it was for me to edit it. And it wasn't meant to be bait, I was merely speaking my mind of how I feel about you.
I really want to like you because I know you are as much of a music enthusiast as me, but your narrow minded short fuse of a personality really turns me off. You really do act more like a teenager than an adult and wish that you could see that because I'd bet you would be a hell of a guy otherwise. I have only had words with you on this site and think that it is a shame I can get along with thousands of other users with the exception of you.

ireland isnt it getting out of hand, this is a tech forum, i guess it should of stayed a tech forum with out the safety valve and all other topics.
There seems to be an influx of people who wish to influence there point of view to one and all, with out realising that the consequences of such indirect words will just cause flaming, .This wont stop it justs gets worst.
Its up to you if you leave, but i think if AD changes there format to go back to the original techie based feel , then these headaches may dissapate and life will get back to normal.
Politics has its place as do discussions on race, gender, creed but ultimately this is a techie forum, and these threads dont help any one.The safety area was designed to be a place where people could discuss ideas, and experience friendship, meet people etc but the reverse has happened and of late all it is where people can bitch, flame and create havoc.Is this what people wish AD to be seen as.The bitch capital on the net, the place where you can flame or go down in , depending on who's side you join or view you take.Freedom of speech is a given but some people are just to fanatical in there approach , bypassing anything ethical in there wake.
So in conclusion ireland : BONVOYAGE

I agree that religion and politics should best be left for rainy afternoons in the mental asylum, until then....
a statesman,an Mp, a rabbi, a priest and the president walk into a bar..The barman says "is this some kind of a joke?"
Seriously, people will always disagree and this may cause discord, however it's when they can agree to disagree a civilised conversation can ensue and harmony pervail. I'm for one, am happy that this sort of thing has an outlet, here in the safety valve. Rather here than on one of the threads in the techie forums?

PLEASE guys, let's all stop this right now. It's out of hand and serves absolutely no useful purpose at this point; it's one of those arguements that will just cycle over and over again. We've gotten to the point where we're simply being stubborn.
