I just purchased a HP Pavilion a1640n PC and installed the newest versions of CloneDVD and AnyDVD. However, everytime I try burning a dvd (with AnyDVD running in the taskbar) I browse for the dvd folder and CloneDVD says I can't copy it because it's CSS protected. Still, my other computer runs the exact same programs perfectly fine. And I've also tried uninstalling the programs and using older versions. That didn't work either. So if anyone knows how to fix this problem, I would greatly appreciate your help.

Sounds like the problem is with AnyDVD installation. Try uninstalling AnyDVD entirely, clean out your registry, reinstall AnyDVD and reapply your purchased Slysoft Key. As long as your is key is valid, it really does not matter which revision you install. By the way, what is the DVD you are trying to backup? Is it something very new or not yet officially release which could have a new encryption? Good luck...hope this will help.

So many movies, so little time!!

Enable AnyDVD "SafeMode". This should cure the problem.

I'm going to take advantage of this & ask help w/basically the same problem. My h/d crashed & I ended-up loosing IT ALL! . . . to include my beloved "CloneDVD" I repurchased the pgm, but got the latest version which does not allow me to back-up any original movie, new or old. I have purchased so many pgms that I've lost count, not to mention $$$$. I really find it difficult to navigate thru all these pgms & feel I'd need a degree, reason why I loved 2 or 3 earliest version of "CloneDVD." At present I'm using "DVD Shrink 3.2," but It doesn't allow me the flexibility that "CloneDVD" use to, not to mention its incredible simplicity to use. Any ideas of how to acquire the earliest version? or a way to bypass the restrictions of the new version? or a pgm that will allow me to choose what part of a movie I want to back-up & which no?

frutsville,
You want earlier versions of CloneDVD 2? I don't know "why" if you have re-purchased the latest version, but here you go, a link to earlier versions, you can get earlier versions of AnyDVD there too.
Note: These are the trial versions, so you will need you license "keys" to have unlimited use.

Bunnyrip: I can see your bewilderness & now I see how silly of me; but when you're lost . . . what can I say? I didn't realized "CloneDVD2" could wrk the way my ancient version used to. Trouble was, I didn't realized it would when combined w/AnyDVD & now that I found-out, I'm thrilled to no end. In any case, the version I was looking for, was much earlier than the ones available on the link you sent me. It's all for nothing at this point anyway; I got what I wanted, but all the same, I do want to thank you very much for taking the time. I will keep that site in case of emergency, which I hope, is "never!" Thanx again!!!
