You can install on both machines no problem as long as you have the reg key. Not sure if you have tried it out before but ripit4me combinded with DVD Decrypter and fixvts can decrypt any movie AnyDVD can and doesn't always need to be updated. I used AnyDVD for about two years great program but new thing is ripit4me it rocks. I haven't found a movie yet it could not get through. If your interested in trying here is a link to guide http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/360110 by arniebear, and here is link to website, http://www.ripit4me.org.

I think I will go with AnyDVD, cause when I tried ripit4me a long time ago, it was way too many steps, AnyDVD is simple to use.

I'm sure ripit4me is a great program, but the amount of times AnyDVD has been updated the past two or three months far exceed the number of times any other program has been updated. The program is well worth the money.
Latest AnyDVD to rip > VOBB to blank the unwanted on a DVD > Shrink to compress > ImgBurn to burn = Never starting a thread asking how to backup a movie

Canucker6, the keycode is only for one machine but you shouldn't have problems using it on both your desktop and laptop .just backup the keycode to a floppy or a cd and keep it in a safe place and you should be good to go . remember AnyDVD works best with CloneDVD 2 and theres a special this month on either or both programs 5 dollars off one program and 10 dolllars off both programs making it 49 dollar for both just type in "afterdawn" in the coupon box to receive it. best program on the market for sure

@Canucker6
Which part makes you paraniod?
I buy most things online (hate store shopping)- no ones hacked me yet.
They can do that just as easily in store too.
No problems -just make sure they are reputable and have a secure site (encryption) for ordering. I can vouch for that too for SlySoft - they meet both of those.
Alot of satisified members here and at other site buying AnyDVD. If there was any problems it would be across the net in a heartbeat :)
Use aabbccdd idea on the gift mastercard/visa.

I've bought a lot of stuff online through various things and haven't had problems. Now, I have problems with other things. That's just part of being a veteran and having your information stolen on a laptop that they said was secure. With that said, Slysoft is secure. I've never had a problem until June with anything online.
