Thats a good speculation. It very well may be but there could be numerious mods like take the ps2 for example, swap magic, mod chip, hdloader/advance etc.

how do you backup blueray discs?its not like theres a bluray burner for ur pc right now.I heard the games are like 30 gigs.Too big for dual layer.i gues itl have to be a hardrive upgrade and thered have to be a program like "blueray 2 PS3 " ripper.thats what id do...

mmm,moding a ps3,lol,such a imagination already,to be honest,i heard it runs programs that can be loaded,or something like that,so i think the first attempt would be a soft mod,but we'll see how it goes,probably start hearing some news on modding in a month or two.

wow i didnt know there was a blueray burner!I couldnt Find One for less than 600$ though...Oh well, Maybe theyll drop in a cupla years!

Soft mod would do unless you are online,since these new consoles are online nearly 24/7 soft mods would be tricky.
Copyright infringement is nothing more than civil disobedience to a bad set of laws. Lets renegotiate them.

Blu-ray burners are around $1000 like dvd burners are. But dont wory they will go down in price like dvd burners did.
