i wish i could say the same as i use Clone DVD (with DVD2One, DVD Shrink, DVDXCX, etc)...
but when i looked through the AnyDVD website, it seems they don't support windows ME (my current OS ) and no version planned to support it at the moment.
I'm new to this site. I just recently downloaded the trial version of AnyDVD, and I'm not sure how well it works with CloneDVD. Is the trial version different from the purchased version? I tried using it but I still can't back-up some of my dvds that have CSS and other encryption encoded. Can someone help me? Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.
AnyDVD rocks! Worth every penny. I use it with DVD X Copy Platinum RF, DVD Shrink and Nero ReCode with great results. I'm also able to play my region 2, 3 and 4 DVDs on my computer now. Also, it makes "PC Friendly" DVDs actually pc friendly by removing the install crap. Removing the control restrictions, i.e. disabled prev/next/menu buttons is a bonus.
AnyDVD removes the all encryption codes on the DVD's, Analog Protection System, the "Prohibited User Operations" when trying to back up a Video, The ofcourse PC-Friendly crap, the Region Codes are also a gonner, and removes the CD Digital Audio Protection.
And the way it speeds up the recording process has to do with the fact that your software doesn't have to decrypt anything, since ANyDVD does it.
When I use the two progs together Clone DVD crashes whilst reading the DVD leaving no error message. When I return to my pc it just shows the desktop with AnyDVD still in the system tray. I have the most recent versions of both.
