Looks like your drive is having a problem with reading the section of the disk that contains that file, most likely because of the scratches.

Try cleaning the disk with alcohol, tooth past, also try ploishing it with a furniture wax to try and fill in the scratches. The disk should be cleaned using a soft cloth and wiping from the center out to the edge, not in a circular pattern.

How would you use Toothpaste??

What kind of Furniture wax?? Also what brand of Furniture Wax...I don't want to break my disc even more or make it oily? And what kind of a cloth should I use??

Please give me ideas.

On light scratches, toothpaste works great, but so does peanutbutter!!! .

Apply a small amount of toothpaste (must be paste, not gel, baking soda toothpaste works well) to a soft, clean, lint-free cloth: an eyeglass-cleaning cloth works well. Gently rub the cloth on the scratch or scuff from inside to outside of the disk. Try to focus on the scratch or scratches you see (if possible). Polish for a couple of minutes, reapplying the toothpaste to the cloth as necessary. Be careful not to apply much pressure, although you will still be able to feel the cloth gently scratching the disk as it polishes. Rinse the disc thoroughly with warm water and let dry. Make sure to remove all of the toothpaste and let the disc dry completely before trying to play it.

OR

Apply a very thin coat of Vaseline, liquid car wax, neutral shoe polish or furniture wax to the DVD?s playing surface. Wipe the excess off using a clean, soft, lint-free cloth from the inside to outside of the disk. If using wax, follow manufacturer?s instructions (some need to dry before you wipe them off, while others should be wiped off while still wet).

Give it a shot, hope it works..

As long as it's a paste, not gel. Try the wax as well.

You could also try ripping with DVDFab decrypter (free) instead, if you do try using DVDFab, disable AnyDVD while using it because they don't play well together (right click on the red fox in the task bar and choose exit).

try using the AnyDVD ripper . right click the foxhead in the traybar and click "Rip Video-DVD to harddisc..." that may work

or another program that works for hard to read/scratched dvds is "Intervideo DVD Copy5"
