I used DVDFabDecrypter and Shrink, AnyDVD always runs in the background. It copied fine.

I wasn't succesfull. Used ANY dvd, recoded with Nero. Tried burning to a dual layer dvd. Burn report was succesfull however only plays in french and I didn't change any settings in the process. If I change the language to english or spanish, it still only plays in french. I really don't mind because I am bilingual but I prefer english movies in english.
I really didn't have a chance to watch much of it yet. Will try and report more later.

I used the latest version of AnyDVD, DVD Shrink and Nero. Backed up full disk and have watched it twice with no problems.

I used DVDFab Decrypter 3.0.7.5 Beta to rip The Guardian_WS and had no obvious problems. When I run DVD Shrink on it, in re-author mode, and select Main Movie/Title 1 only, no captioning and AC3 5.1 English only. It gets to "X% Encoding" and the entire DVD Shrink window and process disappears.
Heh, it vanished while I was typing this and I was going to watch it to fill in the "X" above. :) It was at 3% when I started typing, so it couldn't have made it to 4 or 5%.
Any advice or ideas ?? I see many people have had no trouble at all.

It's possible your Shrink is corrupted. I would do an uninstall and then re-install then give it a shot.

It works fine on any other DVD or ISO I've run it on.

Already am.
I guess what I'm wondering is, could DVDFab Decrypter miss something that causes Shrink to crash hard ?? From what others have seen, I doubt that's the case. I am using the *beta* of DVDFab though... Are others or are you using the standard release ??

in the case that dvd fab "missed" something, you could try running fixVTS before using shrink.

I was able to burn it-but when i played it, it skipped a minute or two at the beginning and towards the end. does anyone know why this would skip. (the skipping has happened a couple of other times as well)

Jenill777-
What speed are you burning at? what program are you using to burn with? Sometimes if you are trying to burn at 12x or 16x it will cause skipping. It is normally best to burn at 8x.

Hey ppl,
I'm having problems with the guardian in VobBlanker 2.1.2.0. I ripped the DVD using DVDFab decrypter, and then tried to open it in VobBlanker and I received the following errors, consecutively (th errors relate to one_seq or something like that, see the screenshots below:
first error:

Quote: The following PGCs are marked as not one_seq but they can be marked as one_seq (recommended). VobBlanker will do it in output IFOs
VTS 01 PGC 003
second error:

Quote: VTS 01: Detected 2 cells with pointers mismatch between VTS_C_ADT and PGC_PBK tables Using VTS_C_ADT initial and ending pointers...
This is quite usual in ILV/multiangle VTSs, but VobBlanker does not support them, except in skip mode.
Note: This is NOT an InterLeaVed VTS
List of Cells:
VTS 01, PGC 003, Cell 01
VTS 01, PGC 003, Cell 02
third error:

Quote: VIDEO_TS Menu: Detected 1 cells with pointers mismatch between VTSM_C_ADT and PGC_PBK tables Using VTSM_C_ADT initial and ending pointers...
This is not usual in menus, so a FullScan in menus is recommended
List of Cells:
VTS 00, PGC 002, Cell 01
Any help???

atmcrabit-
"The Guardian" can be done with RipIt4Me for free. I do not know why DVDFab couldn't handle it. You can get RI4M here: http://www.ripit4me.org
Make sure that you have DVD Shrink and DVD Decrypter installed before you install RI4M. Also make sure that you have the latest version of FixVTS installed in the RI4M folder. RI4M will install that automatically if you do the install from their wizard interface.
Edit: These images have been removed because the latest version of RipIt4Me is different.
