I get this message when I try to Shrink ANYTHING
Can anyone help me fix it. All my firmware is up to date and I have recently Formatted my PC so... thanks

It would help greatly if u used better media, such as Taiyo Yuden, or Verbatims.
Just to let u know DVD Shrink isn't a burning program(however it can auto burn with Nero or decrypter), u might want to ask a mod to move this to the Nero forum as u might get more help over there, but get ur drive back to DMA and try burning to see if that helped.

If you continue to have problems get rid of the Prodisc and get better media, such as Sony or Verbatim DVD +R and booktype. The HP burner won't booktype, but the Sony might, I've not checked on the Sony, but I own an HP like yours and know it won't.
LOL Now I see your post Bowler. I added the Sony though. I can personally vouch for the +R over the past year, used nothing but. Besides the Japanese Sony +R is manufactured by Taiyo Yuden, so is some of the Japanese Verbatim.

thanks everyone! Yeah DMA is on on both..regardless of what the error says. I have cross checked it. I have tried to burn with the sony drive and the HP.. I have sony DVD +R and all firm ware is up to date.. For some reason as of late it is given me problems. Hopefully it is just the media. I have a HD full of DVD's to burn and cant get a successful one!

Way too slow, especially if they are the 16x max speed disk which i think they are, try burning no higher than 8x or 4x or 6x.

I also forgot too, r u trying to burn something that is copyrighted,

What is the source of the material you're trying to record?
Is it a DVD or in DVD format, for example, a Video_TS folder should be present containing IFO, BUP and VOB files?
What decryption software do you have in use? Since Bowler noted the DRM encryption, I added the last. (I thought that just part of the Audiocompilation error warning).
I couldn't tell from the log, but are you trying to record audio traks with Shrink?

trying to BURN anything.. IE.. older movies like Ninja scroll.
I am use DVDDecrypt and even ripit4me (latest version etc) with harder movies. Never had a problem EVER recording till of late. Not sure what is going on. I am using DVD format completely. Even movies I have downloaded via torrent which are not encrypted wont burn.. Nero will burn MP3 cd's and stuff. but for some reason with ANY media.. i get these errors messages. I have verbatim Lightscibe DVD's I use on movies I want a good label with and I get the same errors.. after the lead-in.. it throws out and error EVERYTIME. It is very frustrating. any help with be greatly appreciated.

ok .. I tried changing IDE cables and stuff. I even updated Nero. This is the latest error message:

That error is a conflict between your version of Nero and DVD Shrink. There is a thread devoted to the subject stickied at the top of the Shrink forum.

Version 6.6.0.18 (package 1 and 2) should repair the problem. You should find a download by checking in the Nero section. Ask Gwendolin and tell her PacMan sent you.

Nero is no longer reading the TRF error caused by version 6.6.1.4 conflicts. But you're still reading SCSI and Media error. Ask a moderator to move this thread to the Nero forum. There's a group there who love reading Nero logs. ;)
At this point I'm thinking the problem isn't software. But to check, set Shrink output to Create ISO and create an ISO on the hard drive and see if you can burn the ISO with the freeware ImgBurn.

no go.. i can burn CD's just can not burn anything dealing with DVD.. might be hardware issue somewhere. I did recently update my BIOS.. and I updated the firmware... but I only updated firmware AFTER i had burning issues.

Use Nero Infotool to see that your ASPI isn't corrupt...if it is you may need to run ForceASPI to remedy your problem.

Can you try something here?
Try just burning an image to your hard drive with Nero and let us know if that works. I have an idea what your problem might be, but I need to know if it will write an image to your hard drive first to be sure.

Yes I did that already.. I can burn image to Hard DRIVE.. but when trying to burn to DVD it doesnt work. I ran SONY'S test drive app and it wouldnt burn test either!
