hell yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!! it worked hehehe, gotta love that emulated 3.01, metal gear portable ops rocks. thanx a lot eternalis i love u man, and love keal valros too... lol it is kewl, it's missing those cool custom gameboots the chunglam version has though, the psp one is kinda boring and ugly...no matter!!! now put my old files back and i'm done, yeah!
EDIT:
question: if i make a backup of all the files in my memory stick to my computer. could i use them like an easy installer to do this without having to go through the whole process again(same psp, maybe cause i sould get another memory stick)?

@eternalis I mentioned it a couple posts back I had devhook 0.46 launcher(devhook0.4X launcher for 2.71) to emulate 1.50 .I'm trying to fix swapping games in devhook 0.51 .I was trying to ask if anyone could upload a system backup of devhook 0.51 with emulation of 1.50,but could also multi swap games in devhook 0.51(sorry I should have been more specific).I know you have to run the PSAR dumper for firmware 3.01,but all I need to do is change out the F0 folder with somebodies system backup and it should work. You can actually make a easy installer, but the only thing different is everyone has to dump there own 3.01 firmware.

Yeah doing that is fine. But it will only work on the same PSP because the firmware dumps of firmware 2.82 and above are unique to each PSP.

must place an iso game in the "ISO" folder in "USBHOST_PCSERVER".when u start the program "usbhostfs_pc" an ms-prompt will pop-up dont close it,it is needed when u play through usb.ok connect your usb to psp and computer, now boot HEND and it will autoboot rite then boot devhook.over here u can choose your game too.just go to umd select.
@kealvaro I did all this, i have a demo umd in my psp. If I use an ISO on my MS then the UMD shows as this game, but if I choose an ISO thats on my PC then the UMD doesn't even show.

I did everything that the guide says to do but the 3.01 emulation wont stick and i have to go through turning it on every other time i quit a game.
I was just wondering if this was normal or not or if there was a way to fix it.
thanks

@dman33 devhook 0.51 doesn't have the ability to emulate 1.50 but the chunglam version can...
@corchox,yup u can make an easy installer for urself coz even if u send this easy installer with 3.01 it will not work for the others.i think coz it follows ur serial key in the psp i guess only im not quite sure.but if u backup files,i think when u put it back to ur memory stick u have to reflash the config file and that is it...
@pspjunior hey long time no see,how are u and all.did u manage to use devhook 0.51 with 3.01??hopefully u should get it coz u also were one like me rite lol!!!!!!
@baldtco hmm weird well want to help u in a way that is easy but i do not have a videocam or digital cam that can record.i want to buy one but i have not been workin yet :(:(.i try to see if i can get one next week sorry bro...
@saeen well if u want to play iso in ms then gwt a file from some torrent site.i think u know that rite then extract it out using WinRAR.u should see an iso image of the game.u can delete the update folder in the iso then compress it to cso to make it smaller.now place it in your ms root.u should see a folder called ISO there,if not then make one and place the iso there then u can do the rest urself
@sakarot,try reflashing the files again maybe there was an error when u were flashing it.coz mines never had a single problem.
and guy if this happens to u just like sakarot then do the same thing as sakarot k...
well i know i said this a lot of time but if any of u got myspace pls add me username is Keal Valros

Thanks once again for the great thread Keal!
Anyway, I tried doing the emulation of the 3.01 fw, but failed at this step:
F)booting the first time
umd select:umd disc(can change in devhook,so no need to worry)
firmware: 3.01(ms or flash+ms)
clock cpu:266/133mhz
boot mode:XMB MENU
then click on "start devhook",and wait
choose english and the rest is up to u.
Right here, after choosing 'start devhook', the psp just shuts down and doesn't come on again. I tried restarting it, I tried redoing all the steps as per the guide, but to no avail. =\ Anyone with similar experience who could help? I'm looking to this to help me get pes6 going, lol.
Nonetheless, great work again to you all guys who have chipped in tremendously to help this thread going, and give hope to us 2.71 ta-082 ppl!

Same here. I was able to do every step fine, up to flashing the files to flash1. Although I don't get an error after flashing, this message is in white before i flash "devhook isn't installed in flash0:'301' is installed in flash1...." ignoring this and flashing, i get no errors. But when I switch back to the dh menu, change the settings for the launch (fw version, etc) then press start devhook, a few white lines appear briefly, followed by a black screen. Have started the whole process from scratch 4 times with the same problem.
Help me please!

If I emulate 3.01 can I play all previous games? If so what need is there for me to emulate 1.5 or 2.71 at all? Actually, I know I need 1.5 for snes emu. But I mean if I'm only playing iso's do I need to revert to 2.71 or can I just stay emulating 3.01 to play most of my games?

Yes if you use DevHook 0.51 w/ 3.01 emulation you can play all of your ISO games. There is no need to emulate firmware 2.71. DevHook 0.51 can not emulate firmware 1.5 and thats why you need to keep the old loader on your memory stick.

I'm wondering if I uninstalled the DevHook config file from the PSP's flash and I reboot the PSP without installing anything back after to the flash, would it brick the PSP?

No it doesn't brick the PSP. It just removes DevHook flash files (i.e for DevHook to function but your normal firmware will work fine).

well, I'm testing something right now. Instead of having to keep re-naming the dh folders for each devhook version, I'm making one BIG dh folder with the files from the dh folder for x4 and the one for .51. I hope it works.
EDIT: It works, I think I'm the last one to do this............
My PSP Firmware History: 2.60 had to return the PSP because it had a dead pixel > new PSP had firmware 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.52 M33 > 3.52 M33-4 > 3.71 M33 > 3.71 M33 with 1.50 kernel

Thanks for the quick reply. I got 3.01 to work but I noticed there is no usbhostfs, so I cannot play games from my computer I'm guessing. Also as far as the old devhook goes, If i move the old files back and I overwrite the files it asks, can I still run devhook 0.51 and 3.01? Or will I have to do the whole process for emulating 3.01 over again?

We are using the beta version of .51 right now.
