Hmmm...Thanks alot. Good read. I'm not sure between Method 2 or 3, but neither require use of A/V cables connecting your PC to the PS2. Apparently I don't need a USB A to A connector either...thank god... :P Only found one in this crap-hole town. Need a Flash drive though.

I think it's what I need to connect the memory card to the PC. I'm really not sure though. It's what comes with ARM Evo, so you should have one. I need to sleep more. Bleh

Ahhh...ok, I'm stupid. You store info onto the flash drive and then plug it into the PS2's USB port. So the flash drive is for storage.

One big enough to hold the exploit's files on it. So actually the 32MB should be fine. But it mentions that ARM has compatibility issues with certain Flash drives.

Hmmm, Guess it's more ebay fun for me. Think I'll save it for tomorrow though. I don't know enough about Flash drives right now to just up and buy one. Gotta do some research.

Oh man, I feel stupid now. I realize how I broke my first PS2 with the slide tool. I tried to pull the tray out with the card, when you aren't supposed to. Openning up that PS2 sure did help me out.

No, it wasn't really. Anyways I found a flash drive at Wally World for the cheap, and according to this Independence Exploit Installer I can use Codebreaker which I have so I'm gonna give it a try. And you were right Glitched, using Swap Magic does seem like the easier way to go.

I am gonna give it a try though. Just to see if it works, and to show my friends how "smart" I am.... :P Besides, who knows when my Swap Magic discs will come in. This method using Code Breaker..I'm not sure if I'm gonna need a slide tool or not, it says to swap out, butit's not specific. Guess I'll ask in another thread that has to do with that topic and stop being off topic in this one.

If I had the money to spare on some Modchips I would have practiced soldering onto those broken PS2 motherboards. I took a jewelry class in college and we learned how to solder. Then I probably coulda made some money around here putting chips in people's systems. I'm sure there's gotta be some demand for it locally.

Yeah I tryed to tell the person in this thread: http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/231093 that Swap Magic is a lot easier than installing exploits and using cogswap loader. In a previous thread he insisted that he could get it working with ARMAX and I was wrong. Well a week later he's still fiddling with the burning procedures and can't get it working. Swap Magic is hell a lot of easier than messing with exploits. Glitched is right. You'll never have to jag around with the memory card slot again. Also check this link for slide card usage: http://www.saveware.com/SlideCardUsageAndInstall.htm The flip top is better if you ask me. I boot my PSX backups with Breaker Pro and a flip top. Later.

Hahaha. I am. If I had done that I wouldn't be in this situation I'm in right now. I coulda put a chip in my PS2 and a fliptop, or used a slide card. And with this Tropical Stom..:P I'm starting to wonder if I'll even get to play my PS2

The double posting is *sometime usually* just a problem with the server and the replyer so it's not such a big deal, especially when it's just a little reply.
But people who post new threads with slightly different titles are different and subject to a banning as they are PURPOSELY multi posting. Although a problem can happen with the connection the same way with just a normal thread.
So in that case just edit the additional posts and say something like "Server error please remove this or these additional posts" etc.

No, I'm actually double posing. And I'm sorry. I'll try to stop. My problem with the Swapping was that I didn't understand that the slide tool wasn't actually supposed to be what was extracting the tray. That and apparently I missed that day in Kindergarten when they thought use our right from left.

I think I have the exploit done properly on the flashdrive. Now all I need is the weather to clear up. Guess I'll just watch Advent Children. Oh yeah Happy BDay to me!
