I have a benq drive, DL'd the NTSC version from 101 group, burned to sony dvd+r dl - no problems on or offline

i feel for everyone with the texture loading problem, i as well experience this when playing gta 4. it makes the game 100% unplayable looks like rat poop.
i have a brand new 2008 console, benq drive flashed with iX 1.41 12x, no hdd installed (not like that matters) i burn with a benq dw 1620 at 2.4x using imgburn, i've never had a problem with a game before. my game version is ntsc from 101. so there goes the famous PAL theory ;)
i haven't tested a retail copy because i don't think any game is worth $59 plus 14% tax, but maybe thats just me.

Ive heard from many of my friends that have the game thats original and they are experiencing it. As well as in the review from 2 different magazines they also complain about the graphic loading problem.

Can someone tell me why the &^%@ I cant join a free roam game. It always says disconnected or game is over or something like that and wont let me play. Any suggestions

The 360 version sends cache textures on the fly. In order to remove the texture loading problem, drive slower, or buy a hard drive. Each texture only needs to load slowly once then.
Life likes those little complications.

I bought a brand new 360 elite with the game on the release date and have no problems what so ever. In one mission i noticed a glitch with a wheel but it only did it for 5 seconds.
The game plays really smooth and has some great detail. I don't see a problem with the game at all.

hi to you all i am a newby to this and the xbox360 i only own my xbox360 for 4 months but i brought it second hand and i had a chip in it but the chip was a waste of time i couldn't get any of my back up game to work so i unsolder the chip and flash ther rom now i don't have any troble play my back up but i have found that writing backups with IMGBurn is not working i have gone back to Xbox backup Creater and now have no problems.i wrote GTA IV with IMGBurn and it did not go i rewote it with Xbox backup Creater and i works fine.but it not my kind of game so i wasted a d 2 dvd+r,dl cheers hope this helps

In ImgBurn, you must change the LayerBreak, i think that was the problem.

geez that [spoiler]helicopter mission[/spoiler] is really confusing. took me three trys to finally figure out i had to be to the right of the other one.

Well thank god I don't have any of those issues that many people have been complaining about. Also, I guess we all can confirm that Microsoft and Rockstar were full of sh%* when they said that they were monitoring people on Xbox Live. It'd be very difficult to detect who's playing a legitimate retail copy and a non-legitimate copy. So haha to them for trying to scare people!
