I have read through many of the other threads and havent found any help for my problem. I have no real problem burning dvd's using dvd decrypter and then clonedvd2 but many have told me that it takes them 30 minutes max to rip and burn a movie as opposed to about 2-3 hours total for my method. Also many of my friends were able to burn movies that I couldnt.

So I got anydvd 6.1.6.9 and tried it out. I have it running in the background but ot sure where to go after that. I have tried inserting the dvd and then right clicking on the anydvd icon in the tray then "rip video dvd to hardrive" but that doesnt get me anywhere. So then I tried going straight to clonedvd2 and going to the dvd itself and selecting the video_ts folder straight from the dvd and then copying, but it stops immediately. Is there something I am doing wrong? The movies I have tried to burn are The Lookout, Talladega Nights, and Hostel Part 2 if that may have anything to do with it, but those all also wont work with dvd decrypter either.

Sounds like a classic case of hard drive(s) and/or optical drive(s) in PIO mode instead of DMA mode, see here - http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/260038

Main PC ~ Intel C2Q Q6600 (G0 Stepping)/Gigabyte GA-EP45-DS3/2GB Crucial Ballistix PC2-8500/Zalman CNPS9700/Antec 900/Corsair HX 620W
Network ~ DD-WRT ~ 2node WDS-WPA2/AES ~ Buffalo WHR-G54S. 3node WPA2/AES ~ WRT54GS v6 (inc. WEP BSSID), WRT54G v2, WRT54G2 v1. *** Forum Rules ***

Did both of the things suggested in that thread and everything was in DMA and also reinstalled the driver for my burner and the problem still is there.

The problem I am having is mainly in the second part of the question, just getting anydvd working in the background with clonedvd. What exactly do I do? Only way I know how to do it is in clonedvd go to the DVD and find the video_ts folder, but when just using anydvd in the background, there is not only the video_ts but also audio_ts, jacket_ts, and extras and from what Ive been told if I don't only just see the video_ts then anydvd isn't working.

Also just tried burning Hostel Part 2 with dvd shrink and anydvd in background. Problem I ran into here was as soon as I hit open disc it analyzes at 0% and says "Failed to read file in D;" then at the bottom "copy protection error- the read failed because the sector is encrypted" With this problem and with the clonedvd burning problem they both are just like anydvd isn't decrypting it at all.

ok......... here is a guide for you on how to use AnyDVD and CloneDVD:
http://webpages.charter.net/bacitup/TheG...EDVD&ANYDVD.pdf

now Hostel 2 doesn't come out till Tuesday (tomorrow) in my neck of the woods! If this new DVD has new encryptions that AnyDVD can't break at the moment then wait a day or so and AnyDVD will have an update for this new encryptions on Hostel 2!~ AnyDVD will come up with a new update..... that's how good AnyDVD is! So if you got an advance copy of Hostel 2 or you're in a location that already released this DVD then please wait for the AnyDVD update to handle the new encryptions!
