I'm thinking of getting anydvd, but before I do I wanted to ask a few things.
1. How good is it?
2. Is it worth the money?
3. With anydvd can I just put any dvd into my player and copy straight over without backing it up?
4. If yes to 3 are there any exceptions to that? Like certain types that might not work?

do you mean are there movies the program will not work on? if so some newer releases won't backup till there an update but this is seldom and doing the movie only works 99.9% of the time with new releases that need an update form anydvd. plus anydvd now has a new feature called the AI scanner that makes it future proof kinda like a virus scan program that updates automatic when problems arise. bottom line its highly recommend in here by most members

also clonedvd 2 is you're best choice to use with anydvd there made for each other and both programs have a free 21 day trial. heres a couple guides to use the program too

hmmm. I think I'm going to try that trial.
I'm just kinda tiered of having to rip the dvd to my harddrive and then having to burn it onto a dvd. Its like double the time. And from what I've heard and what you guys told me, it sounds allot faster to use those two programs.
Thanks,
Tom

This is the method I recommend, the other way is "Burning on the FLY" and it's the cause of a lot of failed burns.

Yeah, I just Bought AnyDVD and CloneDVD2. And I love them. The main reason I was tiered of having to rip to my hard drive was because it took so long to use a program like DVDShrink to make the DVD files small enough to fit on a DVD-r or +r, But when I run AnyDVD it allows me to just copy the files to my hard drive and Then when I run CloneDVD2 it allows me to remove all the little things like subtitles, previews to new movies, audio for other languages, all the warnings about reproduction, and so on. And it still preserves the menu. And after removing all the little crappy things, if it is still to big, it will automatically resize the files making them fit on whatever size DVD your using.
So far this is all I've noticed about it, but I know I'm bound to find out more about it farther down the road.
Its way worth the money, for anyone out there who is thinking about it.
Thanks for the help guys,
Tom
