I have anydvd and clone dvd and have successfully copied about 25 dvds. I have one that downloads 86% of its files and then stops and wont finish. I have tried many times. I get a message box up that says to clean the surface of the dvd and try again. I have spit polished this dvd and it still wont finish downloading. Does anyone have any suggestions to get this dvd to download all the way?

It may be a bad press, meaning the damage may be something you can't see. But before getting a replacement, there's a couple of questions. What is the title of the DVD? Are you using the latest versions of AnyDVD and CloneDVD 2?

sometimes a different drive will get though the problem area if you have one, or try a different transcoder like Intervideo DVDCopy 5 it gets though bad/scratched/dirty hard to read DVDs. but most likely your out of luck and will need a different DVD to back it up

Have you seen the horse? ;) You know... the one that was pushing the cart. lol
BTW, using AnyDVD with DVD Decrypter makes for one of the best ripper setups and doesn't incur the cost of a another retail program (assuming the user already has AnyDVD). The check for structure and CSS cracking selections need to be unchecked when using DVDD with AnyDVD. That bypasses copy protection with the power of AnyDVD and uses the well known ripping abilities of DVDD.

then its a optical drive problem
you have a box system right?
we/I with custom built systems seldom have trouble ripping/transcoding DVDs
some Lite-On drives have problems
Pioneer drives transcode everything
only thing you can do is try a firmware update or buy another optical drive
