Oh i know DVDFab is awsome and it's freeware. As a matter of fact i'm here to say i was able to back up my Blades dvd (i only wanted to back up the movie) by removing the < >. thanks and good work guys. But i thought it was odd, it kept trying to tell me i was missing 4 files because my disc may be dirty or scrached. so i ejected it and the disc was fine.
So I followed the promts and let it try to re-rip those files and the program just froze at 2% for hours. After doing this twice i decided not to fall for it again and the 3rd time i just said no to re-scanning for those files. And it worked fine. Anyone else run into that problem?

I knew about RipIt4Me having issues with titles with symbols at the beginning or end. Kudos to the one who noticed that (don't know if I would have picked that up right away). A trip that all the copy protection guys can come up with is adding <> to the title! Evidently it was semi effective as it threw a lot of people off! RipIt4Me continues to be my main copy program (with it using DVD Decrypter, DVD Shrink, and Imgburn) and I suspect it will for some time to come as I still have not found to date anything it could not handle. Very versatile and robust program indeed. Wish the boom wasn't lowered on the makers. A shame to us rippers for sure.
Dunno why AnyDVD is lagging on this one as this DVD copy protection is no big deal once the symbols are removed in the name. Evidently the ifos people send them only gets them so far as it seems they have to have the retail disk before they can figure out how to crack it. Fengtao of DVDFab doesn't need the disk and he always manages to find the solution and quickly. Right now I think DVDFab is the fastest updater of all. The guy doesn't mess around.
In this thread people are still having issues with this simple movie, asking the same questions over and over. The problem is solved but some still can't figure it out. It goes to show a lot of people want to get into copying their DVDs but the truth of the matter is a lot of people just don't know what they are doing. No matter what thread you read of issues, the majority of the problems aren't with the software but with the people using them.

I got crc error at 98% with CloneDVD2, Recode 2 and AnyDVD, used DVDFab Decrypter and CloneDVD2 & worked fine. I am sure it's an AnyDVD issue. CloneDVD2 had no trouble burning this after it was ripped with DVDFab 3.1.7.6.
Slysoft will post an update on their site pretty soon. Trust them.

You're right folks do keep asking the same questions. Check it out...DVDFab Decrypter is free...and so is DVD Shrink. Go download those two and follow my steps and you will have it. After you decrypt, and shrink, it doesn't matter what burn software you use. Nero, DVD Cloner, The one that came with Windows meaning you probably already have it on your computer...whatever...they all work the same after you use those two FREE programs....Late.

Same old, same old... and AnyDVD finally got in the game. ;) What's interesting is that DVD Decrypter and DVD Shrink are still part of the mix when it comes to successful DVD backups. Granted, they need help, but they're still major players (with no support for the longest).

Success.
I used RipIt4Me and remove the "<>" so the ripped directory on you computer will read C:\BLADES_OF_GLORY (by keeping the "<>" in the name, which you can't because its an illegal character to use, you'll end up with headaches trying to rip)
Then I passed it in CloneDVD2 v2.9.1.2 and removed Titles 34 and 36, kept the English Audio and Subtitles and then used DVDShrink.
Works like a charm.

People panic too much.(I guess it's just the way of the world.) The AD forums are packed full of knowledge. Taking the time to do a little research goes a long way . .. ..

I guess you must have a pretty small arsenal of programs. Don't have dvdfab HD decrypter?

wow thats simply amazing...so what all of you are saying is all they did was add the <> to the movie & it made it impossible to rip? if thats the case thats simply the most dynamic form of copy protection but yet the simplest protection i've ever seen.... correct me if im wrong plz.
