just xerox a coworkers game manual for the PS3 edition. anyone know where to find manuals online. i have only found this site http://www.replacementdocs.com/news.php but they have limited collection and they only host what they are allowed to host. as in if a dev wants them to remove the manual they will do so.

Oh and if anybody has any submission tips, glad to hear them. I only pulled off one and it was by rolling the joystick instead of button mashing. :)
I do roll the right joystick, I still get no love lol. Have came close but always lose the hold.
i suggest you guys go into the options and turn the stamina bar on. it will let you see your and your opponents energy level. the bar has 2 tiers/layers to it. the top layer is your energy level which gets used as you expell energy and recovers when you rest. as this energy bar goes down you will see another bar under it which is your overall stamina level, it goes down as you take damage and does not recover. Also the energy bar that does recover can only do so as high as the stamina bar. so if you take tons of damage and the bar gets knocked down to half way it is going to stay that way and this limits the amount of energy you have so you will move slower and hit weaker.
now if you sit there and attack attack attack your energy bar will go down and you will be in whats called the gassed state, basically means your out of breath and need a second to recover. this is the most vulnerable state to be in, if you get hit hard you will get knocked out easily. while if your enemy tries to submit you while in this state you will most likely lose. but it goes vice versa also. if you can manage to get your opponent gassed out and then try to sumbit you will have a very high success rate granted that you are not also in a gassed state in which the advantage would not be there.
now i have tried to submit online when they are gassed and i am not and they have gotten out. i think this is either due to me not being faster on the button/stick spinning than the other guy or my fighter is a low rated submission defense while my opponent is using a fighter with a high rating submission offense. or a combo of both those.
also i found this bit of interesting info on Giantbomb:
One of the core strengths of the engine is the ability to calculate velocity and mass. William Schmitt (THQ) recently stated that you can knock an opponent out within 10 seconds; based on factors like timing, angle, stance and weight distribution.
Other notable aspects:
■The submission and tap sequences currently involve a two stage process, you have to complete both stages to achieve either outcome
■There is no HUD except for round, round time and an optional stamina bar (which can be activated in the options menu), otherwise all damage and exhaustion are shown through the fighters appearance.
■Damage is not just superficial, if your fighter has a swollen eye the impaired vision will affect his striking from that side of the body
Love this game, i was playing against my brother on the demo and he was Liddell and he hit me with alot of good punches so i backed up and ducked under a punch and took him down and made him tap via kimura (or however its spelt) Defiently going to be the next game I buy or copy.
Just a little update on my online play. Well I won my first 3 matches on live in exibition. My first win was a Submission, followed by Mir submitting lesner and BJ koing Diego.
So on to ranked Matches. Won my first Ranked match by KO. Next I play some guy telling me how good he is. He was Level 7 and said he just beat a lvl 14 guy for the Welter Weight Belt. He Picked Anothny Johnson and I picked GSP. I destroyed the guy with brutal GnP with in 2 min to win the Welter Weight belt. Then I got Pwn my next 4 games, LOL.
P.S Man is it just me or is there some awful lag sometimes?
