Has anyone played this demo yet? I got the Demo last night and must say so far it has impressed the hell out of me. Smooth transistion on the ground game, powerful strikes and amazing commentary.
I only wish they would have given us two more fighters to use. Someone with some superb bjj so I could try out the submissions.

Is the playable demo already out on Xbox Live? I thought it wasn't releasing until the 23rd. I'm gonna download that ASAP.

Is it really out on Live? I did a search on Xbox.com and I don't see it. I saw the demo up on a torrent site three days ago (playable on unflashed/modded 360s) but I don't play backups on my 360. Don't want to get banned. I'm also a MMA fan. Watched quite a bit of UFC, PRIDE, DREAM, Sengoku, Strikeforce, Affliction, EliteXC, bit of IFL and some other stuff. Though I don't follow MMA as much as I used to. I catch all the big fights but not so much the others.

I grabbed the demo off a Torrent site and burnt to a dvd. Its only like 504 megs. You can only be Shogun and Chuck but it still rocks. I dont think its out on live till tomorrow.
I'm also a huge MMA fan. I loved Diaz dismantling of Shamrock about a week ago.

So it's the one off the torrents that I've seen. Ah well. I'll play through it tomorrow when it hits Live. Wish that there was more to this than just one fight and two playable fighters but can't wait to play as Shogun and try this thing out.
Diaz dismantling Shamrock was no surprise. Frank Shamrock is a legend but aside from Baroni, he hasn't had a notable win since his semi-retirement in 1999. The game evolved a lot in the last 10 years but Frank hasn't.

Chucks power is sicking in the demo. Caught me with that looping hook he throws and it was lights out in like 20 seconds...
Shoguns got some deadly knees in the clinch. Like i said it was really well done.

This game is AWESOME. Just got done playing the demo as Shogun and Liddell. The graphics are very life-like and the KO's are realistic. Submissions are pretty slick too. Just guillotined Liddell. Watch the tutorial though, it will help out a lot.

I havent got a sub yet. Plenty of attempted subs but they are always reversed. I can't wait to get home from work and play this!!!!!

Once I got the sub initiated, I used my left hand to move the right stick clockwise real fast and was able to make him tap.
Edit: Also for everybody else... the Demo will be available on XBL April 23rd.

Plus, I'll have the game about 2 weeks early from this little hottie working at Best Buy. Hopefully before it leaks to torrent sites.

THIS GAME IS AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG sorry for yelling but its true....so much better than i had hoped for. I mean seriously its amazing. I set my 360 to download the offical demo from live this morning. its so fun i cant even put into words almost.
The tutorial is a must do though or you will be lost when it comes to anything except punching basics.
I played the computer and against a friend local anf it was phenominal.
One fight went 3 rounds and ended with TKO by ref stopping the fight. The next fight i came out charging with a flying knee and rocked him and then started the ground and pound, he knocked me off and recovered somehow but i threw some high kicks to the head and it was over..KO in 45 seconds...........simply one of the BEST fighting games i have ever played and im sure this one will be getting tons of awards..
so many MMA/UFC meatheads are going to become fat couch potatoes LOL

I didnt see it in the menus but i was hoping for a tournament mode where you can setup local games and play tournaments with friends. WOnt be hard to manage myself but would be nive if it was in the game.

Would be sorta cool to start out in small shows in career mode and work your way up... I'm wishing to much I think though.

THQ really outdid themselves on this one, a whole new engine from the ground up and the groundwork feels fluid wich was my main concern, they seem to have delivered, can't wait for the complete game

I downloaded it this morning. I need to familiarize myself with the controls more for grappling, submissions, etc. For beginner difficulty all you really need to do is stand and bang and I always end up KOing Chuck Liddell cold (I did it with a left-hook, art imitating life. lol) or dropping him badly for an easy Ground and Pound finish TKO. But for higher difficulties, you gotta go through the tutorial. I'm very impressed with this game. HUGE improvement from the PS2 PRIDE FC and UFC games.

man im stumped.
i got the series of folders with the file in the last one, when i downloaded the torrent. i was expecting a rar file or an iso something
from what i have read it needs to be a .dvd so could someone point me in the right direction

No this is a demo, not a full game. Demos come in Content folders, or you need to put it in one. Just burn the Content folder with ImgBurn or whatever. When ImgBurn asks if the Content folder is the root say no.

yea and no need to waste a dual layer disc. you can use a regular 700mb 80 min cdr for this
or get it off live cause it loads way faster from hdd than disc

alright i duno, i did as u said and burned it with img burn. something for the sound came up and i declined it.im gonna try again and click yes but ,i put it in and it says its a mixed media disk and i cant select it
