The last 3 movie backups i have done in ReAuthor they have come out with English Subtiles along the bottom, so i have had to backup the whole disc. How do i get rid of the subtitles, i never used to get them. Thanks for any help
Thank you for your reply, i cant understand it then. i always take the tick out of it, but still get subtitles. I will try another tomorrow. Thanks again
I've been having a similar problem. On some of the backups of my DVDs whenever I start to watch it the movie will start with the subtitles turned on. I just go to the subtitle menu and turn it off and the movie then plays fine. But it is annoying, to say the least. Is there anything I can do while making the backup to stop this from happening? I usually make a backup of the full disk rather than just the movie. (I will only do the main movie if it puts up a struggle. LOL!) Here are the steps that I usually take to make my backups.
1. Rip it to the HD using DVDFab HD Decrypter or AnyDVD.
(If one doesn't succeed, the other one will)
2. Run it thru FixVTS.
3. Run it thru DVDShrink, removing any foreign language audio.
(a) Depending upon the amount of compression DVDShrink wants to
use, I will backup and run it thru MenuShrink.
4. Burn to disk using Imgburn.
Using these steps I haven't had any major problems making backups of any DVD that I own.
Tried your suggestion but without success. I'm going to try the disk on a different DVD player. I'm beginning to suspect that it might be my DVR that is the problem.
