i dont know if these have been answered but im too lazy anyways.... when i get the mod on it changes the ip addresses not allowing me to go on xbl what do i do??? i cant get to the troubleshooter... also is it true that for logging on xbl you can get banned if so is it just that one account or is it forever....

@Heretic1 - THANK YOU FOR FINALLY DOING WHAT I WAS TELLING YOU TO DO! LMAO!!! I can't understand why people make it seem like i'm speaking Greek or something, everything i'm telling you to do is SO SIMPLE.
@Andvarion - Read the posts, in one of the pages i tell you exactly how to sign on to XBL.
Also, i've been told that if you want a tad more extra security on XBL, load your account from a memory card instead of the harddrive...

hey jon im startin over on a new xbox. Now I put the exploit on it and make a backup right away. I want to ftp files so would i ftp them before or after i did the c: restore becasue i want regular xbox dashboard

@jason011 - If you want the regular Xbox dashboard, why are you even modding your system? I don't understand the reasoning. The purpose of modifying your Xbox is to run a different dashboard, unsigned code, homebrew programs, etc.

yea i noe but what happened with my old xbox was that I got evox and then turned off the UDE to go online and then that worked fine and i only transferred 1 program and it worked fine 4 a few days and then 1 day i troubleshooted xbl and step 4 failed and it said i had a modded xbox and i tried everything 2 delete everything but it wouldn't let me back on. My accounts werent banned.

so basically what im trying 2 ask is if i have evox and ftp modded maps from my PC to my xbox it shouldn't detect a modded xbox rite?

If you have a modded Xbox, there is ALWAYS a chance that Microsoft will detect it and ban you. There are a few steps you can take to try and prevent this as much as possible, which are outlined in one of the early pages of this thread...

also, it i make a backup i can use c restore and will my xbox b bac 2 exactly where it was bfore i started and if it doesn't let me connect 4 having a modded xbox i can use the restore and sign on right?

When im Ftping what MENU Do i need to be on, on my xbox. And what the menu looks like, cause i know some one is going to give me a bigwork that i dont understand?.

can someone telll me why i try to the file with mech my screen turns black and nothing happpens i waited 10 min but still nothing happpened do you think it is my action replay mem card that is like 3 years or older

heres my problem, i soft moded my xbox and when i turned it back on with anxb LIVE game i was un able to get online. so what i did was get restore dashboard frome the AR program, put in mechasault and ran it. it went to a black screen for a long time so i restarted it, now i dont have a dashboard. it just goes to the xbox logo until i put in a game. i cant try to reinstall any thing becouse i cant get to my hd. if anybody has any answers i will be happy to hear them.

also when i try to trouble shoot from the game it takes me to a screen that says that my xbox needs to be repair in like 5 diforent languages, but i can still play games but not audeo cd's

@EVERYONE - At this point, i'm starting to realize that basically NONE of you have done ANY type of research on what softmodding is, what it does, or how to do it even though my tutorials are all on this thread. IF YOU HAVE XBOX LIVE AND WANT TO KEEP IT, DO NOT SOFTMOD YOUR XBOX. There is a bigger chance of getting banned than not getting banned, and if I were you, I wouldn't want to risk it personally. Just get another Xbox if you want to play Xbox Live. If it ever says you cannot connect because it detects a modded console, YOU WERE BANNED. Your account will not be banned, but that Xbox will be banned forever from logging onto Xbox Live.

@petie07 - Dude, i gave a tut on how to ftp/install programs, games, emulators, etc. on page 6!
@heretic1 - If you receive a modded map or something, you still have to ftp it to the xbox under the halo 2/maps folder. You then have to make sure and edit your mainmenu.map to allow the game to see the map and show it on the multiplayer map menu. Right now I have about 40 maps for Halo 2 including all the regular ones and the ones that were released on Xbox Live...

can someone help me...
I cant find the ltools package. I tryed codejunkies.com, but there I can only find the mechassault version of the package.
I also tryed mIRC, but i can't find it. I don't think I do everything right in mIRC. How do you connect to the EFnet? Do you fill EFnet in in the mIRC options or in mIRC channels folder?
