@marusha when u double click MIRC the first thing it brings up is ur evalutation days u click continue, then brings u to another lil screen which are four lil fill in boxes, which are ((Full name, Email, NIck name, ect)). Any way it say connect to sever on the bottom next to the lil sun click on (((connect Server))and go downs to the (E) (they go in Alphabetic order)) CLick on any of the EFNET theres about 10 of them all of them worked for me.

OK everytime i try to FTP my comp and xbox With smart FTp i cant connect i tried putting my IP 192.168.254.3 wouldnt work then tried putting 192.168.0.3 also didnt work and each time i try to connect it gives me this lil message((( A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not properly respond after a period of time, or established connection failed because connected host has failed to respond.)))))

ok Guys i Now can ftp my computer and xbox using flash fxp i tried using smart ftp but didnt work for me, so if u all cant ftp try using flash fxp it worked for me. ok any way i got those 7 folders to come out and i need to know if some one can give me some mods for halo 2? and how to put them in? thanx .GaMER TAG Heretic126 aiM IS THE SAME AS GAMERTAG

petie are u uysing smart ftp? if u are u should consider changeing to flash fxp worked for me because smart ftp wasnt working for me!!

@marusha - you have to choose Efnet as the server you want to connect to. Once you're connected, use #xbins as the channel...from there follow the instructions at xbins on how to download files

OK HOW THE HELL DO u get ldots ltools? and what is the evox menu? and after I do the mIRC shit and get a name and password where do i go. and what do i need to download after that, can ANyone help me? Websites would be nice because i have no idea where to go for anything. Sorry if i sound Stupid but i cant find shit and its pissing me off.

ok when the evolution x dashbord is supposed to come up after i reboot my box a error 13 page comes up what does that mean plz respond quick!!

@jon, In regards to my earlier question, I knew you explained how to connect to live on an earlier page. We had tried that at my friend's house and it didn't work. I asked thinking I might have missed something, but we tried it at my place and it worked. So the problem must have been with my friend's router or something. *shrug*
Also jon, this might be beyond the scope of this thread... but why can I not plug the xbox to my computer simply using an ethernet cable? Why does it have to be a crossover cable? I mean a regular cable can obviously send data both ways (upload/download). I tried googling a bit but couldn't actually find what the difference between a crossover and regular cable is. Seems to me like if it plugs in both ends, it'd work. =p

OK guys i got mods for halo 2 on my desktop i just need some one to tell me how to transfer them over!! using one of the ftp program (flash because my comp doesnt repsond with smart ftp) pz some one respond to this messgae

Another thing, use FileZilla. http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/
It's free, so you don't need a hacked version or anything.
jon already explained how to FTP to the Xbox. You type in the xbox's IP in the FTP client, and use "xbox" (without the quotes) as the username and password. (This was from memory. If I'm mistaken, check back a few pages and see what jon said.)

@Andvarion - THANK YOU!!! It's nice to see someone actually helping and showing that it's not difficult to do this at all, and if everyone else just READS A LITTLE they can find the answers to their questions.
About connecting to the computer, you cannot do this with a regular ethernet cable, because regular ethernet cables are only 1-way data transfer. Crossover cables are capable of transferring data both ways. That having been said, I have not been able to connect directly to my PC with a crossover cable as of yet. I've always just used my router. They're so cheap nowadays anyway it'd make no sense not to just get one, ya know?

thanks, heretic... I found the file, but the only thing that went wrong is that when I try to connect to the ftp server of xbins it says: User -nick- access denied
is it possible that I've already downloaded too much?
I've only tryed to download the ltools package for splinter cell, and I've downloaded like half :s
