Restart your computer to the safemode -> http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml
log in your desktop.

When in safemode, open SmitfraudFix folder and doubleclick the file smitfraudfix.cmd
Choose option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and pressing "Enter" in order to remove the infected files.

You are asked: "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry ?"; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove your desktop wallpaper and the infected registry keys.

The tool checks if wininet.dll file is infected. You might be asked to replace the infected .dll (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".

The tool might have to restart your computer; if it won't do it, restart your computer back to normal mode.
A textfile will appear after the cleaning process, copy this file and paste it to here.
Tha log is saved to your local diskdrive, usually C:\rapport.txt.

Warning : Running option 2 in a clean computer will delete your desktop wallpaper.
Send a fresh hijacklog

Download and install Ewido Anti-Spyware 4.0 -> http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

-> Open Ewido Anti-Spyware
-> Click the Update icon at the top of the window
-> Click the Start update button
-> Wait for the update to download and install
-> Quit the program, we'll use this later.

-> Open Ewido Anti-Spyware
-> Click the Scanner icon at the top of the window
-> Click the Settings tab then select Recommended Options and choose Quarantine
-> Click the Scan tab
-> Select Complete System Scan. The scanning begins.

-> When the scan has completed:
-> If infections were found you'll be prompted about what to do.
-> Please make sure that the Set all elements to is set to Quarantine (in downleft corner of the window)
-> Then press Apply all actions and answer yes to all if it asks about something
-> Click on the Save Scan Report button and save the scan to your Desktop.
-> Copy and paste the scan results into your next post-> Copy and paste the scan results into your next post

Boot normally.

Restart your computer to the safemode -> http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml
log in your desktop.

When in safemode, open SmitfraudFix folder and doubleclick the file smitfraudfix.cmd
Choose option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and pressing "Enter" in order to remove the infected files.

You are asked: "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry ?"; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove your desktop wallpaper and the infected registry keys.

The tool checks if wininet.dll file is infected. You might be asked to replace the infected .dll (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".

The tool might have to restart your computer; if it won't do it, restart your computer back to normal mode.
A textfile will appear after the cleaning process, copy this file and paste it to here.
Tha log is saved to your local diskdrive, usually C:\rapport.txt.

Warning : Running option 2 in a clean computer will delete your desktop wallpaper.
Send a fresh hijacklog, too

thanks for the fast reply, but im having an issue with starting in safe mode.

i select start in safe mode from the list and it starts listing off some things with the prefix :

multi-(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows\system32\drivers\

and stops on :

multi-(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows\system32\drivers\gagp30kx.sys

i havent a clue as to what this means but the computer freezes and i have to restart in normal mode...any thoughts?

Thanks for the fast reply but im afraid its worse than i thought...
my computer freezes when i try to restart in safemode; i select start in safemode, and it starts to run down a list of words with the prefix :

multi-(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows\system32\drivers\

the one that it freezes on is called -


multi-(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\windows\system32\drivers\gagp30kx-sys

any ideas? can a virus stop me from booting in safemode?

Try that way :

Click Start > Run > Type in the box msconfig and click ok

Goto "Boot.ini" page and put a mark line /safeboot

Click use and let comp boot.

When in safemode unmark that line before rebooting.

Uh oh. I did what you said, and now my computer will not startup. It goes to the windows xp page and freezes with the bar loaded halfway :( I can't get it to startup in normal mode or safemode now. Is my baby going to die?

Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

Sorry but the first thing I did was doing the report in smitfraud. Now I'm following the instructions from another topic. I hope I'll get rid of that bloody Myzor. Thanks for all your pieces of advice in advance.

I'm a newbie. I've been infected with w32.Myzor.FK@yf. I've been reading your log with another person. I seem to get a safety homepage each time I open my int exp browser. I began using ewido spyware this afternoon and found around 100 or so infections; I had it fix all these. Still problem. I then went to safe mode; tried to locate the smitfraudfix folder, but was unsuccessful. Where might I go from here.

Hi Kaczor

Restart your computer to the safemode -> http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml
log in your desktop.

When in safemode, open SmitfraudFix folder and doubleclick the file smitfraudfix.cmd
Choose option #2 - Clean by typing 2 and pressing "Enter" in order to remove the infected files.

You are asked: "Registry cleaning - Do you want to clean the registry ?"; answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter" in order to remove your desktop wallpaper and the infected registry keys.

The tool checks if wininet.dll file is infected. You might be asked to replace the infected .dll (if found); answer "Yes" by typing Y and press "Enter".

The tool might have to restart your computer; if it won't do it, restart your computer back to normal mode.
A textfile will appear after the cleaning process, copy this file and paste it to here.
Tha log is saved to your local diskdrive, usually C:\rapport.txt.

Warning : Running option 2 in a clean computer will delete your desktop wallpaper.
Send a fresh hijacklog, too

Extract the content (a folder named SmitfraudFix) to your Desktop.

Open the SmitfraudFix folder and double-click smitfraudfix.cmd
Select option #1 - Search by typing 1 and press "Enter"; a text file will appear, which lists infected files (if present).
Please copy/paste the content of that report into your next reply.

Hello there,

Can you help me fix my w32.Myzor.FK@yf problem. I've already followed directions from another site here. (http://www.precisesecurity.com/computer-virus/avmyzor-may01.htm)
Yet the problem still exists. As you can see I've used SmitfraudFix already. 31 Log File along with HiJack This below.

Did you run smithfraudfixes option #2 in safe mode?
If not , do it

If you run it in safe mode do next:
Scan hijack and check:

Download and install Ewido Anti-Spyware 4.0 -> http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

-> Open Ewido Anti-Spyware
-> Click the Update icon at the top of the window
-> Click the Start update button
-> Wait for the update to download and install
-> Quit the program, we'll use this later.


Restart your computer to the safemode -> http://www.pchell.com/support/safemode.shtml

-> Open Ewido Anti-Spyware
-> Click the Scanner icon at the top of the window
-> Click the Settings tab then select Recommended Options and choose Quarantine
-> Click the Scan tab
-> Select Complete System Scan. The scanning begins.

-> When the scan has completed:
-> If infections were found you'll be prompted about what to do.
-> Please make sure that the Set all elements to is set to Quarantine (in downleft corner of the window)
-> Then press Apply all actions and answer yes to all if it asks about something
-> Click on the Save Scan Report button and save the scan to your Desktop.
-> Copy and paste the scan results into your next post-> Copy and paste the scan results into your next post
