only if you know someone with a modded psp phat already then they could softmod a battery with hellcat's pandora installer.

Sadly I don't know anyone who has that. But thanks anyways.
So can you tell me what I should do after i got my battery-tool?
Put the memory stick in, hold the L botton then insert the battery.
What next?

follow the onscreen instructions such as press x to install 5.00 M33 CFW and that's pretty much it.

Is there a guide out there to tell me how to play psx or n64 games on PSP? I have some iso and pbp file, but don't know what to do with them.

hey there...i recently saw a thread on some site saying that the new psp slims have been hacked. There were tons of people who had confirmed this and posted there. i cant find that link..i'm sorry. They use somthing called chickHEN and then make the psp run custom firmware. Though it cant do everything a normal cfw psp would, it can still run isos and csos.

I wonder why the info at the first page of this thread isn't updated anymore. With Chickhen and Gen you can pretty much anything you could do with a REAL modded PSP 3000 if it were possible, so i
think this info:

yea that was the latest update to the front page but its not like its been out for a year and the only thing different from the last update and now is 3000 has iso, psx and some plugin support so the main reason its no longer being updated is because this thread is no longer needed until modding begins for the PSP Go! or rumored PSP Phone.
now custom firmware, iso, and psx is available on all psp versions though with the later slim ta-088v3 models and psp 3000s you still have to install 5.03 GEN-A once and launch it each time with ChickHEN R2 to reboot to cfw and they have some plugins support like CXMB but it can still be risking since there is no unbricking method.

Hi, I new with Sony PSP.
Now in Malaysia PSP 3006 has release. I want to know is this new PSP 3006 can play download games or modded? I dont know what firmware for this psp. Can some from Malaysia give information about this.

When you mean that the PSP's can be modded at some extent, do you mean certain things won't work with the mods?
It's been a while since I've been in the PSP scene, but I'm planning on buying a new one (Little Big Planet is coming), and just wanted to know what you meant by that?!
I do have a Pandora Battery that is hardmodded, so would the PSP-3000 be moddable with that?

I think thing are still the same but I'm not really sure since I haven't been paying attn to the psp scene the past several months.
To some extent I mean the CFW doesn't 'stick' - each time you shut down the psp the CFW is lost so you have to install cfw each time you start the psp again.

yes, just don't upgrade the firmware above 5.03 and you can use chickhen and hellcat's recovery flasher to install cfw without a pandora battery

Sup guys so I read through this and became a little confused. My buddy gave me his god of war edition psp to mod for him. I got into this scene alot about a year ago when I got a psp phat I modded mine no prob, I have a mms and pandora battery. I have since kinda slumped away from this so I am rusty. My question is from what I have read this psp can be modded but then nothing over 4.01 can be modded and this has 4.05??? He bought it new and says he has never upgraded the software. To mod or not to mod? lol
My PSP life since mar 1st 2009 got used psp phat with 3.10-oe>3.40-oe>3.52m33>3.71m33>5.01 OFW no fun>3.71m33-4>4.01m33>5.00m33>5.00m33-6 knew nothing of psp before Mar 1st!!!!

Nvm I just went for it and it worked beautifully running 5.00m33-6 :)

Ok guys so the psp3001, my buddy has one and it has OE firmware I know its over 6.00 is there anything he can do to mod?
