sorry it took long to get back, regarding this - http://forums.qj.net/f-psp-hacks-9/t-gui...tion-72495.html - would this method be as effective as the Devhook K Easy Installer method to play ISOs and CSOs on a TA082 2.71 PSP? Because the fact that it takes up a large amount of space on my 1.8 GB memory stick is somewhat unappealing.

I have a TA-082 and im trying to follow this guid but i cant continu because i cant download this file:

hope these will help you guys....i'll try my best!
@youwei86 you can play ISOs in 2.71 by just having HEND and Devhook 0.51. when you are in emulated 3.02 or whatever firmware you're running in devhook 0.51 beta, just press the 'HOME' button and choose the UMD IMAGE and press left and right on your d-pad to select your ISOs to be emulated or select UMD DISC to play your disk then close devhook don't escape devhook! and run your umd...there you'll be loading your ISO. But if you want to emulate 1.50 firwmare you'll need a lower version of devhook. choose 0.46. coz 0.51 beta can emulate 2.71 to 3.02 only at the moment...enjoy.
@byrdgang if you want HEND, and you are currently running in HENC, first you must remove HENC from your memory stick then install HEND, i think that's what Dark_Alex said...
@watson410 first, you didn't actually upgraded to 3.02...we are just emulating it. second, the same thing happened to me...the blue screen with lot of different languages is the psp system recovery. just press 'O' and set up your settings. i still don't know what happened to the psp but i think it's because of the flashing of flash1 (i think) that our system settings were also flashed so we have to set it up again...i think. but after that it's all good.
@shaunabdi i used the 'K' easy installer and yes it took alot of space in my memory stick, i only have 1 gb. so the size of the file really means alot to me. what you can do is just remove the things you don't actually want to be in your memory stick, the things you can live without. hopefully you know what you'll be doing. good luck. for me i just removed the gameboots and just left the one i really like. the rest is up to you....good luck again!

hey. i just a psp and dont know if its a ta-82 or not. its a 2.71fw value pack with ss259 on box which some sites seem to say means its ta-82, but has no IC code under umd slot....
my question is, if i tried to install this hend and devhook what would happen if it wasnt in fact a ta-82? brick?

Hello,i just gotten my PSP(2.71 TA082 aussie version Region 4),a demo disc and a 2GB mem stick loaded with HEN B,C,devhook 0.4x and most wanted 5-1-0 game.The shopkeeper told me not to hard reset or i'll have to configure everything again.Since i'm such a fool,i did the hard reset and now i dont have a clue on how to play the iso game anymore(most wanted).Can anybody plz help me out here.
And yes,i did read the thread for awhile and did some adjustments to the psp like opening up HENC,getting the reboot and going to devhook.But after going to devhook and doing some settings there like:
UMD select:most wanted.iso
Firmware:2.71 MS HOOK
clock:222/111
REMOTE:remote control
PL-ADDR:89200000
When i done all the above,i selected start with and without UMD in the drive(whic means i do two methods)...but all it did was a black screen for about 10 secs and power goes off.
So what should i do??Anyone can help me out here??Perhaps i'm outdated with all the HEND and other new stuff appearing.

hey im stuck on G) Step 14 in playing iso through USB where it says press home you will only see the games in the psp. and does anyone know how to play iso's through your memory stick?
actually i was able to find the game in my memory stick. after this i press home and it goes to the game then i hit right on the analog stick and nothing happens it doesnt run. can anyone help?

I've done everything up to step 12 in "this is the third version,read the features "
Once I go into HEND after changing those files about the screen goes blue and the PSP switches off. when I switch it back on and try to load "DEVHOOK0.51 BETA for 2.71" it gives me the "The game could not be started" error

For the DOWNGRADER... I've tried it AND IT WORKS! OMG!
This is the link.. i'm italian so i always use this

Everything you'll find there is PERFECT and TESTED.. you'll just need to know the language.. LOL

Is it normal for the ad hoc not working using this? I'm trying to play Socom 2 and it won't let me play ad hoc and when I try to setup a connection for online play I can't do that either, when I do a scan for access points I get an error code. TIA

There's always a little risk doing this though. So becareful when trying this. I won't do this though, until later on. I'll just wait for an easy installer.
My PSP Firmware History: 2.60 had to return the PSP because it had a dead pixel > new PSP had firmware 2.71 > 1.5 > 3.52 M33 > 3.52 M33-4 > 3.71 M33 > 3.71 M33 with 1.50 kernel

You have to have a UMD in the tray for it to work. That may be your problem, you can use a demo disc if you haven't bought any games. Check your local ebgames/gamestop if you don't have any games which is a real shame :D

First of all, I think this is a great guide. I downloaded the K easy installer, and follow the instruction. Everything works great. The only problem I still have is, some ISOs crash when I exit the game, so I have to set up devhook again.
Reading some of the post in the forum, I've seen most people have 2 problems.
1st problem, after running HEND, the PSP restarts by ITSELF, then you go choose devhook 0.51 beta for 2.71 and the homebrew should run. Remember after running HEND, you'll see the blue screen and the PSP restarts by ITSELF, you don't need to switch it back on. If it doesn't restart by ITSELF, that mean you didn't run HEND correctly. Try it again.
2nd problem is many people don't know how to run ISO. You have to follow the guide and after you emulate the firmware 3.02, hold L+R and press analog left until you see the your ISO image. Now press home again so the devhook menu go away. Then put in a UMD disc now. After some loading, go to GAME -> UMD and you should see your ISO game, and just press X to play. Be careful though, some ISO image file still has option to update your firmware, so make sure you are choosing the game , not the update FW. To be safe, I will re-rip the ISO by myself and delete the update option. But that's just me. Hope this help.
