I may have mentioned it before but "Mobb Deep - Shook Ones Pt. II" is defiantely worth the 5 minutes and 24 seconds of your life. It is in my all time top 10 rap tunes. Prodigy murders the song with his verse. Go buy the album "The Infamous" even if it's for that song.

rap is like less than 5% of the record sales
so i think rock is just a little more mainstream and has been around just a tad bit longer.
maybe you will figure it out in 20 or 25 years what music is about because rap isnt going to make any kind of mark on the history of music what so ever.
we will see whos remembered in 50 years

Doubt it mate. We are from different generations. You probably grew up in the 60's or 70's where rock was the most popular but this is the 00's. Things are different now. exactly how much modern rock do you listen to. i bet all the stuff u do listen to is from the 70's and 80's.

all this stuff is from the 30s 40s 50s 60s and most the rock i listen to is from the 60s 70s some 80s and 90s
listen to very little new bands as they really bore me for the most part

Blues ,Jazz and different genres of rock ,heavy,stoner,metal,space rock ,blues based rock, jam bands ,some alt.etc.
i have like 2000 cds/albums so i cover it all pretty much

solargame Cream( Eric Clapton,Ginger Baker ,Jack Bruce) is one of the most important bands ever to play in the histroy of music ,rock and roll
but i wouldnt expect a kid like you to get it
