I have been trying for a while to convert AVI files and move to my kids psp's so they can watch movies. I tried converting using psp 9 but I am not doing it correctly. I have also tried to figure out how to do it with xilosoft video converter 3. The xilosoft converter worked great to convert files for my Blackberry but I can't figure out the settings to do for the PSP. I have also looked into the Super download but it says it requires 20g of free space. I only have about 4gigs of space left. Since I already have the Media Manager from Sony, Xilosoft 3 converter, and psp 9 can anybody tell me the easiest way to use the tools I have to convert my avi files to a half way decent psp file and get it onto the 4 gig media cards I have?
I have started to understand Xilosoft a little and with the Blackberry I found the required frame rates, resolution, etc. that I would need for it to work but I can't find the same for the psp.
Actually I realized I had two versions of Xilisoft. One gave me the option to convert and encode to PSPMP4. So I think its done, however I have Sony media manager and I tried to move the movie over and got an error about the encoding. It won't move it to the media card on the psp. Now what?

FIRSTLY CREATE A NEW FOLDER NAMED VIDEO, same applies to music and pictures you must creat a file for each dont name my video as windows my documents files do as this does not work (otherwise psp cant find files).place .mp4 files in video dont add inside another folder say with the film name as this will not work video folder filled with raw .mp4 works fine
the settings as default on my converter cucusoft ultimate dvd/video converter for psp are as follows:
video encoder M-PEG4,
video bitrate 768,
framerate 29.970,
video size 368x208
audio encoder aac,
audio bitrate 64(can be increased for better sound =larger files),
sample rate 24000
audio chanels 2
my converter allows to increase volume which i usually set to 150%
aspect16:9 or 1.333
file extension .mp4
these settings will give a file size similar to donor files 90 min movie arround 600/800mb.

I've been using xvid4psp 4.115 for a year already but when I upgraded to vista, every time I open a video to convert, the program shuts itself down automatically.
