I see lots of websites selling v3.2 but the image is always of v3.0 and the official Swap Magic site still has 3.0 - so does 3.2 really exist?
Secondly, if it does exist, is it needed for v9/v10 PS2's - i.e. is v3.0 no good for v9/v10?
I am about to buy a new Silver PS2 and assume it is going to be a v9/v10 so am concerned about getting the wrong discs!
thanks for your help

Yes the Swap Magic 3.2 does exist and yes you do need it for version 9/10. Swap Magic v3 is no good with v9/10.

Many thanks for your help.
Do you guys know anything about these no-solder chips that can be used with a Swap Magic disk?
Am not sure if it means not having to use the slide tool - would be interested to know if anyone has this combo.

Yeah, the fliptop is much more convenient. Above do not get the slide-card because it's a pain to use and can damage your ps2.

No it doesn't despite the instructions on the slidekit box!
You guys might like to know that despite using this forum to advertise their slidekits, once the slidecardkit.co.uk sell you a duff kit, which probably means to anyone that has a v9 or v10 (they claim it works for all versions but I think that is rubbish - yet to meet someone for whom it has worked) don't hold your breath for a reply. I am still waiting for a response sent weeks ago asking what they will do about selling me a duff kit.

the card works - the disks don't - so overall the "kit" doesn't work for v9 and v10.

i heard somewhere that the slidecard does not work on the special edition PS2s like the ceramic one and the other colors from sony because the front of the tray is molded to the tray.

sure you can copy them, but how do you expect to load it? Once you copy it, its just like a copied game.

You should be able to make a copy of Magic Swap, but you'll need a copy program that doesn't fix errors. Nero 6 won't fix the purposeful errors, thus allowing the copy to function properly, as opposed to most copy programs, including Nero 5.5, which automatically fixed these errors, rendering the copy a mere coaster.

If you could do that, there would be no need for swap magic or modchips. Your burner cant burn bad sectors.

i have a v9 ps2 and my cousins v3 swap magic disc seems to work fine except on the tv in my bedroom some of the games are black and white???
some people say that swap discs are no good but so far all the backups seem to work. im debating weather or not to get v3.2 as obvioulsy the lastest version must be better?? they must have fixed all the kinks (if any) in the new version???
also all the sites that sell backup games discourage the use of swap discs. why's that?

the only difference between 3.0 and 3.2 is better compatibility with v9 and v10 NTSC ps2 users.

I bought a kit from www.slidecardkit.co.uk and I had doubts as to whether it would work on my console.I own a satin silver ps2 version 10 SCPH 5000X model. As far as I know my kit has worked on this particular console on all my game backups.Version 3.0 is the latest European swap magic set and not version 3.2 which is for NTSC / USA use. Therefore if you reside in Europe it is version 3.0 you require.
