I CAME TO THIS WEBSITE BECAUSE THE STUPID WIFI MAX INSTRUCTION BOOKLET AND THE INSTALLATION IS VERY CONFUSING BUT IT IS VERY EASY TO INSTALL IT TOOK ME LIKE TWO HOURS. SO GUYS THE ONLY REASON WHY I AM GONA TELL YOU GUYS HOW TO INSTALL THIS THING IS BECAUSE I WISH SOMEBODY WOULDVE HELPED ME SO IM HERE TO HELP YOU GUYS OUT
STEP #1: Install the software exactly how it says on the maual. and once you are done read on to step #2
STEP #2:
click on the NDS WIFI MAX short cut in your computer and once your in this screen. First click Auto Setup[bold/]. Look for were it says "Network Card (card that connects to the internet)" There will be some selections there of different cards so select the ethernet card of your computer were you connect the 8 pin fat cable. Thank click OK
STEP #3
IF YOUR SETTINGS ARE CORRECT YOUR SCREEN SHOULD LOOK LIKE THIS AND IT SHOULD SHOW AN IP ADDRESS, BUT FOR SECURITY REASONS WERE THE BROWN DASHED LINE IS I CROSSED IT OUT, SO NOW THAT YOU ARE THERE CLICK OK AND YOUR READY TO GO ONLINE SO HAVE FUN GUYS.
I KNOW HOW TO MAKE NINTENDO WIFI MAX WORK

For dns error:
Manually input in the details. The dns error is because yor dns isnt working. I think you should try to input them in manually, because thats what the dude did and his ended up working.
To find your router and DNS there a couple ways
1. Go to your internet connection in the right hand side near the clock right click it and click status, then go to the support tab
Where it says default gateway : thats your router ip
For DNS click details under default gateway. It will show DNS's
or
Click start - run - type in cmd
after command prompt pops us type in ipconfig
and you should also see the default gateway information.
For DNS type in the same black command prompt
netsh int ip show dns

thanx for the reply thing is i dont have a router which is why i bought the wifimax. The manual input method is the only 1 out of all the methods so far that have worked so it includes puttin in my primary dns which i have done but to no avail. I'll recheck and give your method a try. Thanks for your help bombay

Its not picking up your Ip then.
Run--cmd---ipconfig/all
that should show all of your details. Input them manually. Should work then mate.

No mate your going to put the settings of the your pc into your psp. So when you name a connection and crap it will ask you to do infrastructure. Dont that sacns the settings automatically, but if im correctly recalling it doesnt work for you. So inputt them in manually (there should be a option here or there).
That should work.

lol mate were back to where is started yeh i tried those things u said puttin the details manually. It says connection failed but the wifi switch light on psp is constantly blinkin and wifi max shows it has connected but the main trouble was the dns error that came up. That is the only problem now. Although wen i first got the wifimax and did automatic, it worked on like the 7th try then didnt work again. I think the hardware and software is just terrible.

Help!
Drivers aren't compatible with my Windows XP Home Edition (Service Pack 2) PC
I get an error message everytime I try to install the XP DRIVER like this: 'THIS SOFTWARE (driver) HAS NOT PASSED WINDOWS TESTING SERVICES AND THEREFORE DOES NOT HAVE THE WINDOWS PASSED LOGO'.
I doubt there is no fix for this problem- I mean everyone uses Windows XP!!! Why affecting me?! I hope someone out there know what I'm talking about...he he (cry)
Thanks
Chris

Not really. You only need wi-fi if you dont have a modem that can send out a wireless connection. Then it can pick up the signal without using the Wi-Fi.
I think youll be able to go on the internet for fw. 2.71 as long as you use the latest dev hook. I havnt tried it so im not sure mate.

My wifi max only lets me log onto it once. But when i sign off and try to go back on it wont let me. I would have to go back and either disable and enable it or repair it even though is says there is no problen with the adaptor. I want to know if I fix that so i can log on whenever i want to.
Thank You.
