Why should anyone post their results of the wiizard download?

Evidently you haven't read the 100 other past confirmed working wiizard download post. So why would we believe you would read future ones.
Read better because I do...Let me clear it up for the ones who don't understand what I meant: I have been reading about successful wiizard downloads but not too many emcubed ones? Who has downloaded and successfully played SSBB from the emcubed .iso?
That's for you larry ;)

This may sound really stupid, but I'm having a really hard time trying to Corrupt my Wiikey. Either my Wiikey really isn't a Wiikey or it's just really good? Here are the steps I have taken so far to try to corrupt it.

1) Insert the 1.9b update version into the drive and start it up.

2) I let it read, and then let it stop the drive. Then I eject the disk before I press A to initiate Test Flash.

3) After test flash completes and is successful, I reinsert the disk and let it read then stop the drive again.

4) I eject the disk once again, and then press A to initiate the real update.

5) The red warning comes up, and when the update is at 70%, I unplug the power cord attached to my Wii first, then I unplug the power plug from the outlet.

6) I wait maybe a minute, plug the power cord back into the outlet, then the plug into the back of my Wii.

7) When I turn on the Wii, and press A past the black warning screen, the menu screen pops up but my Wii still reads back up games.

Is there any other way to corrupt the Wiikey or am I just out of luck? Thanks for your help.
Have you installed the 1.9g update first?

If you originally have the 1.9b firmware and try corrupting with the 1.9b update trick it will not work.

You need to be at 1.9g firmware first then corrupt using the 70% 1.9b update trick.
Yeah, I'll try to summarize everything I did from when you last responded to my post.

1) Popped in the v1.9g beta bios [us] disk into my Wii, started up the GCOS and hit the screen with the lady's rear end. Read the disk, stopped the disk drive, and I push "eject" and take the DVD out - then followed by pressing A to initiate Test Flashing. Once it hit 100%, I put in the DVD again and it read then stopped disk drive. Took the DVD out again, Press A to initiate the real update. Once it reached 100%, I popped in SMG (the real version) and hit reset and heard Homer say "You're all nuts".

2) Now fast forward to the menu screen. Take out SMG (the real version) and pop in v1.2b bios [us] disk into my Wii. Did exactly everything I did with the 1.9g bios except when it was updating for real, I pulled the plug at exactly 70% and waited a minute to reconnect everything.

3) Started my Wii back up, popped in a back up game and it still recognizes it.

Any ideas?

*btw, does it matter that my Wiikey was purchased in China, which utilizes PAL instead of NTSC, or does that not even matter? I've been using the US NTSC version updates because I live in the US, and my Wii was purchased in the US.

Hi guys,.. help.. my ImgBurn log stated this

06:51:51 Drive D:\ (FAT32) does not support single files > 4 GB in size.

will it cause problem when i want to burn iso files especially SSBB?

I tried to burn alot of time follow all steps given in forums to burn SSBB but it dont work( the disc can be read but it stuck with black screen when started).

Is this part of the log the problem that caused it?

Has anyone burned the Wiizard SSBB successfully on a Mac using Disk Utility?

If so, do you do it the same as single layer .iso's or is there some special setting that I have to set it to?

Thanks
so let me get this straight...you've been trying, but you couldn't read back 2 pages? i answered your question there. there are no special settings.

seriously, i gave you the answer already. Double-Layer and Dual-Layer are synonymous -- ie they mean the same thing. They are not exclusive to +R DL or -R DL. Most will recommend you use the +R DL stuff. iirc amongst other things -R DL has a specific placement for its layer break. +R DL can be set more readily (if you intend to use the break, which some have needed, coincidently or not, to get theirs to work). That and the fact that nearly EVERYONE that has made it work has used +R DL. Do you really want to spend an extra $18-50 (dependent on pack size) to buy new media after your first set didn't pan out? DL media is not cheap.

yes that can definitely contribute to the problem. you don't have an NTSC formatted drive?

@ACLNM
The dual layer media you are using is made by RICOHJPN - not bad stuff but newer to the market. The firmware of your burner may not support it - reason for your error. You have the latest firmware btw.
Switch to Verbatim 4x or lower for your burner.

@Psycho1up
You've asked the same question about the emcubed dl at least 3 times. If nobody has answered by no maybe they are too busy playing the game.

@d0ud0u
The fat32 warning you get might not cause a problem w/ the burn. I'm assuming you have the iso ripped/saved to another drive that's NTFS - like maybe the C drive.
Post the rest of the log.

First page will also be edited later with what others have done for disc read errors.

Ok I was hoping you had the rest of failed burn log.
If you don't have that - Post back the make and model of the drive/burner along with the media - like Sony +R DL 8x.
Laptops drive though ain't the best -esp. w/ dual layer imho - and there may not be any firmware updates for it.

the log i post is the startup log. I tried burn iso DVD5 version before and it works. But the game is not playable(give black screen) though readable.

I intend to burn DVD9 version with DL DVD+R. but havent done so. Maybe i will post the result when i tried burning the DVD9 version.

It's one of the torrents you can download thats already packed into one file instead of e
separated...the wiizard torrent is separated into many files and the emcubed is one file.

I just want to share my experiences with backing up SSBB. I said somewhere in this thread that I successfully burned it using Verbatim DVD+R DL but I jumped to conclusion. The burned game did not run good, I can play it alright, but on every cut scenes it will freeze and give me an error message saying "Could not read the disc. Check the manual" i have to skip them everytime for me to continue playing the game. I tried re-writing it with different settings like layer break and played with write speed but no success, still getting the message.

I decided to buy the Memorex dvd+r DL. Its good its on sale here:
Best Buy

So I popped it in and tried it using the same program that I am using Imgburn _2.3.2.0, but my DVD burner (which is an HP), did not like the media I used, everytime i start to write them, it's giving me this error "optimum power calibration failed". So I tried different set up like layer break etc. still the same. It's good when this error appears, it hasn't started writing it, so i did not wasted any blank DVD with this error. I downloaded the new Imgburn and used them but still the same. So after different set up it's still not working. I googeld the net about it and they say that my DVD drive don't like the media i'm using.
So my last resort is to try my 1st newly built PC ( Asus Max Formula, Intel Core 2 duo e8400, ati 3870 video, LG DVD drive burner). So I did and transferred the SSBB ISO from my old PC to this new one and also installed the new Imgburn here. Finally with one try it worked! I just opened the Imgburn popped the Memorex in, set the write speed to Auto, no layer break, etc! So no more freezing, I can watch every cut scenes and the game is running flawlessly so far. I made sure this time that I play the game for almost 1 1/2 hour before i post this success. Thats it! Thanks to this forum because without this i wouldn't know where to start! keep it up!

If my computer like shuts down automatically when i am ripping SSBB with friidump 0.4.0, will I be able to continue it where I left off, like it let me with Rawdump 2.0? Also, will this burn out the DVD drive since it is burning for 6 hours straight?
