If i have a burned copy of Swap Magic DVD 2.0 would i be able to load it with my Action Replay Max? If I can would you please tell me how I can do it? I have a version 3 ps2. Please will someone help me. I really don't want to have wasted my money?

there is no point to boot a burned copy of swap magic. use action replay to boot cd loader, then you can play backups. http://www.swapmagicfix.com for cd loader and directions.

Thank you for helping me, but are you saying that I dont need swap magic at all? And if that is the case then would i just insert the CDloader when AR MAX says insert game or dvd now?

no, you don't need swap magic. You do, however, need a way to swap in cd loader (either slide card or fliptop).

ar max won't boot backups, if you know someone that has the swap discs or mod chip you could get them to put the mem card exploit on your memory card, then you just need a psx original as a trigger disc

since you can connect to the internet with ar max is there a way that i could find the exploit online then download them into my memory card? If i can do you know where i could find them?
Are you talking about the memory card exploit from the swapmagicfix.com site? If you are would i just be able to use the exploit with my AR Max and play my games that way?

no i dont have a max drive but im not going to go buy one and take a chance on something that might not work when for the same price i could just go out and buy a GS2. Why would i need it thought i have a 8mb Action Replay card? But it probably does something totally different.

if your willing to buy gs2, why not just buy swap magic? it is easier to boot games with swap magic than it is with gs.

hey zxspeky
I pm'd you with some info and a file request, hope you don't mind. seeing as I only have a gameshark 2 v4.1, I can't do a swap trick without shelling out more cash (which I don't have right now) for something that would allow it,but I do have that Max Drive, I really want to get this maxtor 40GB I tossed in there formatted and working, but I need that exploit first *sigh* I have everything I need for my HDD project but a way to make those CD-R's read right now. some guy is working on implementing .max format into his save editor, you can find the info here: http://www.ps2savetools.com/ once he does that, creating our own exploit files would be a snap, but for now I am at the mercy of those that can do it.

if anyone else wants the exploit in max format pm me your email addy, and some psx id's, I don't want to use loads of cdr's up so I will make one or two exploit discs with a load of disc id's on them.
I'll give it a couple of days to collect id's and then I'll start on the exploit.

Great to hear man if the Max save format works everybody will have one just for easy MC exploits. It would change how everybody does it.

IT'S ALL DONE YAY! I compiled 5 TITLE.DB files with every single PSX game I could find (around 800+) anyways I sent them to you zxspeky so you will have to burn 5 of those cds and make max drive saves for all of them, the game list that TITLE.DB contains are not in 0-A-Z order (they are ordered by SCUS#,SLUS# ect...)so you will have to guess what psx game works with what TITLE.DB, I will work on a list to show what Id# goes with what game.
Now let's just get those Max saves going haha! oh man I am so happy I can get this HDD working in my ps2 now =) thanks alot zxspeky! your da' man!!!
