lol, not a boob boo by you, I did that, I didn't know you added that and I added it myself (like I said I didn't check what you added). Should work ok, I did that with a game I added and it still works fine for me.

I'm testing it right now. I'm sort of confused...
It boots up and a white screen flashes. It is supposed to say "PS2 Menu" on the top right corner? I press R1 and it says there are no ELF files to load?

CaneZ, please read previous post. im trying to discourage the use of individual id request. its just not possible. there are 800 plus ids. if none of your psx games match here's what to do:
1 go down to your local videogames store. look for 10 cheapest games. remember their names. search google to find their ids if u werent able to get their ids. look at the 800 psx ids and see if any of the games u saw match. if one does go buy it :).

I just spent like 30 mins trying to figure out what happened to my MC. I tried to copy a FF9 game file to the memory card. Stupid me. The PS2 wouldn't recognize it and it said no data but only 3 mb free space. Luckily I found that th Max Drive software could format the MC. Saved me! Now I'm trying to get everything back to normal before I put the HDLoader file on there.
Edit...
Alright, everything is back to the way it was. Now I need to put the .max file you guys made onto the USB drive. Then "Uncrush" to the memory card. Is that correct? PLease tell me if I'm wrong, I don't want to **** my MC again.

YES!
Okay I got HDLoader Lite to load. I did the exact thing I did earlier, but now the files show up. The first time I tried, there was nothing in the list.
I can't thank you guys enough.
Special thanks to...

if its the official usb drive, try twisting and thouging it ...because the drive bends when u leave it in the ps2 hanging like that :(. then the circuits wont touch , thus the drive wont work. this happened to me too :'(. i had it in my ps2 for like 4 days, now its slightly bent and wont detect unless i push it up a little. so to warn everyone take out your usb drive when finish using

To ZanQuance and Avitus,
Using a Hypen (-) does affect whether the game will boot up the file or not. I tried booting with the other FF9 discs and they did not work. The IDs were in the list but had a "-" instead of "_". Just wanted to let you guys know, incase you make some other boot up CDs in the future.

yeah the ones I put in there I believe were underscores, but I'm not sure anymore =( and I kinda figured it wouldn't work with a hyphen, thanks for the feed back.
I dropped my ps2 today after taking the hdd out to put in my computer to load more stuff onto it, and the usb pen drive was still in it when it fell and got bent outta wack something fierce, but lucky for me I am good with repairing pcb and connector ends and gluing plastic back together :) it works still! yay. I got sooo scared I damaged the ps2, but nope it only fell like 2 feet from where I had it on my lap and works fine.
okay now I can breath again :)

Cd load: at the psx cd rom message eject the disk and insert higher toc ps2 disc (disc that is larger in file size) , when message changes to ps2 cd rom and the disk on-screen turns blue use your flip top/ swipe card to change to your backup disk, press x and it will load after a couple of seconds.
this is what you do:
Dvd load: at the psx cd rom message use your flip top/ swipe card to change to the cdloader disk, press x, you may have to press x a couple of times, when cdloader loads eject and swap for higher toc dvd disk, wait for the message ?change disk and press x?, press x with toc disk still in the ps2 then it will say change disk by ea method, use your flip top/ swipe card to change to your backup disk then press x

it would be really helpful if you could all list any games that you use as trigger discs, and state whether they are sles, slus etc.
then others can go out and pick up a second hand copy of one of the games, rather than wait for a new .max file.
ps. keep pm'ing or posting those disc id's, and let us know what games they're from

Right now I have a sharkport with Nascar 2001 [SLUS-01263]. I am assuming that neither of these will work. Someone here was saying that if i have another usb device i won't need to buy the max drive. Someone here has to be able to help me.

someone did say you can use other usb storage devices, but you would still need the max drive software to uncrush the save to your mem card.

Sorry to bother you but again but I seemed to have a typo in my original post it appears that the code for Nascar 2001 is SLUS_012.63 sorry about that. The dash is actually supposed to be an underscore. Is it too late to fix that? And besides that you're telling me now all i have to do is buy a max drive and I will have my hd loader?
