I had this same issue and just used the white disk thing from the original top cover in my swap magic cover. Make sure to use one of those from the same version. I'm assuming you have a ps2 fat if your using v9 parts? There are 2 styles of the flip top for the fat ps2's. One style has a button style latch and the other I was un aware of till today when my order of 40 flip tops came in. This other style doesn't have much of a latch and no button and seems not to close good. If you have that style you want to look at the front while its closed and make sure its closing all the way none of mine close right from the factory. I got them wholesale and all sales were final. The shell that goes around the white magnet disk should have come with the flip top and is held on with 2 screws. if its not there then there was an error at the assembly line and that one got missed. The only way to get that part is to buy a flip top. The white magnet thing that comes with the flip tops are junk so not having that with it is ok cause you would have to toss that anyways. I'd demand a shell for the magnet where you got the flip top from because without it ejecting the disk using the door cant be done without risking damage to ether your disk or possibly the disk tray. Also the ps1 swap trick may be impossible due to the missing part slowing your ability to do a fast swap.
